Why did I waste 2 hours yesterday picking up every ore I could find, in the highest level sectors, and also using my spatial scanner, and not find a single neodium plate? Please explain, and do not just say I had bad luck.
Overall it’s a nice patch. New shipclass, new OS locations and a slight rebalance.
But 2 things annoy me:
First the shipassignment: Huge downgrade(not only from the new bad look - just MY opinion and is maybe only due being used to the old design) as it doesn’t seem to show what shipclass he is specially asking for. So many indicators on and in the ships are confusing… That the green circle around the ship show it’s favoured shipclass isn’t really useful, because you need to look through every class in every faction to see what 3 he will… The icons should be next to the assignment to have a fast overview of this.
The next negative one in this is, that you need now to scroll for the 5th ship…
Second: The monocrystal-issue. With the destroyer requiring one too, the sources didn’t expand, which mean a more critical lack of them! A few already said: Nope NO Destroyer, because a) low rank b) don’t really know about them c) SP SHIPS NEED THE SAME RESOURCES.
So why investing into them, if you can build a R15 with all advantages(with all implants working + all module slots + all known advantages/feelings about the shipclass you build)?
To the others: All the resources can be found either in the nodes/ore depots/very small asteroids(or whatever you will call those mini-thingies) or from specific enemies(transporters, a specific pirateship, headhunter and some resource collectors).
What I want to ask from the active modules: What is this wormhole thingie? The description isn’t absolutely explaining its function. Does it damage enemies in the creating hole? Or is it just a transport one like the jumpgate/reverse jump? And how far does you travel through it? 4km as the range or more?
PS: I like the colors of the Archon and Poly, but not of the Invi.
I have found 2 plates in a row in misty containers on my first OS run today.
Quality of life issues - there’s no way to return to the hangar view from the ship tree now. Also, the scroll bar is easily lost. It’s also unclear what ships are used for the assignment missions.
I’m already bored of grinding for neodiun, so I’m going to pass on Destroyers. They don’t seem to be worth the effort, and I’m sure as Hell not paying for loot chests that MIGHT give me parts I need.
750k repairs for destroyers suddenly cost 100k. I feel burnt. Twice.
Also, we need an entire different key binding set for destroyers to operate them more efficiently.
Please explain, and do not just say I had bad luck.
Milanbel, i don’t see other reason cause you see Sinaka’s post below yours, it is possible.

Yes, but the required amount of these resources is lesser than for SP ships.
I don’t like the steering for destroyers. For me Ctrl does nothing, hull is decoupled from the cursor all the time. Switching modes is really what needs to be done.
I don’t like look of the ship tree - it takes more time now to get to the ship you want. Also for assigned mission there is no clear indication which ships should be assigned. Looking for percentage value in comparison to previous system is a step backwards.
What I do like:
Destroyers - nice idea, feeling of flying big ship is real. They are not invulnerable, though and as in every rock-paper-scissors - they can be countered pretty nicely.
SP ships - price and refit. I LOVE the idea. It allows to change the playstyle without looking for those 100 monos each change. If you keep T4+ destroyers at similar price (amount of internal structures needed) the drop rate of neodium is just right. It needs some flying around, but it doesn’t require grind per se. I haven’t have (or any of my friends) a single drop of it from Spec Ops - can they drop from there at all?
Thanks for reducing the cost of destroyer repair - it was needed.
Overall - solid patch. I like it
I waited for the destroyers as you published the idea… but for me you have released them in the worst way you could… i played the game for 3 years and bought at least 8 packs and still can not build a destroyer… its a bad decision to make a class unreachable for most people in a classbased game… i hoped you would make them like the other classes…
i like the idea of the destroyers and i want one so bad… the problem is… if i ever be able to build one… i will only be able to build ONE…
i love your game and most of your decisions… but its not easy for me to enjoy it now afte the destroyers released in the way you did…
Positiv points:
Love the designes of the destroyers… the fed one looks kinda weird but its not ugly;
The music is again very great;
The Ship-tree looks nice… but i liked the old one more, because i could see more at once;
PS: i will not leave the game so easily
Oh yeah - when I went to deconstruct my Jaguar it said resources would be lost. Can you confirm whether this is the case?
The thing i am most impressed with is that they’re not OP in the end, can barely believe it, but congrats! Now we gotta see what happens with T4+5 ones as they will have access to R9 empire implant.
Regarding R4 implants, there’s the Tempest Module that could benefit from it.
Can you clarify how module loss works on destroyers when attacked and some stats?
-
for example, they auto-repair after a while if destroyer didn’t die - how long does it take?
-
i heard that the more shields i have, the better protected the modules are, so i crafted the Archon instead of the other 2 to make the most out of my modules, is it true?
-
others i can’t think about now
EDIT: the missile slot shield can benefit from R4 implants with the same effects - duration, durability, size

Refitting costs credits now, not deconstruction.
rank 10 is just more convenient, i repeat, you can do it on r7
Oh really? But you know… yesterday ive been searching for crystals (for computing chips) and neodium in r7 sectors and… I HAVE FOUND 3 CRYSTALS YAY! Just only 80 more.
One more thing, in PvE, the special modules on destroyers can’t hit structures like turrets, on the cruiser for example.

If i understand your question right: it depends on module, nearly 30 or 40 seconds.
-
It’s is possible to destroy modules before you destroy the shield. But it’s harder.
In addition to being no warning on manufacturing changes (have been looking through official steam announcements, no luck…your turn, Doomb0t), just got queued into a T3 pvp match where we had no destroyers and the enemy had at least four on the field, including the captain (Combat Recon). Queue team being decimated.
And how exactly do you refit ships?
Nevermind. Found it.
Sorry for double post, but something else just clicked - you mentioned neodium would be awarded at certain levels. What about those of us who have passed the milestones before they were implemented? Will we get some free neodium?

You missed the point. SP are more worth and throwing the progress towards them away for destroyers, that don’t even can be tested before, it’s just not really worth it.
Please add relative useful grindable sources for monocrystals! Then destroyer will be more popular even if they cost resources from SP ships.

I wouldn’t be half as pissed off about the manufacturing changes right now if we actually had grindable sources for monocrystals.

Official announcement was only in patch notes, but i don’t understand what does it change, for example, imagine if you gathered them before and saw the announcement, your reaction would be the same.

So? One covert ops or any other ceptor or gunship can kill a destroyer.
