Also there are some Guys with 1700+ which are just plain bad. But running and not dieing while looking out for easy kills produces a wrong rating which does not correlate with their “real” skill.
What you meant to say is Itachi sucks badly given his previous DSR or 1980 ish
On the other hand, NERW was with his 1450ish the by far more dangerous pilot…
^ this. For both pilots. Itachi runs a Recon most of the time. That ship has an auto-escape button. He doesn’t even go near Tacklers, as far as I’ve seen him. NERW, on the other hand… when I see him on the field, I stay WELL away from him… Because I know I can’t get to him, no matter what I fly.
ELO should be kept in stats as ELO, and real skill rating that is shown in pregame screen should be rating of efficency/battle played with wins/loses combined. This would stop promoting selfish DSR farming and promote more team play.
I dunno…I haven’t seen too many players above 1200 that are bad, and players near/above 1500 are generally remarkable. In fact…most people below 1000 skill rating seem to be pretty terrible. To me, it’s a pretty good reflection of A) How good that player is at being a team player. 2) How good that player is at defending/attacking. and 3) How good that player is at getting kills and not dying. At least, this is pretty apparent at T3, but I’m sure it’s hard to tell at lower tiers…so yeah, I’d say that the skill rating actually reflects your skill to some degree. Who would have thought?

Yes! Especially cause you can control DSR to your advantage, therefore abusing it to go up against terrible pilots on purpose.

DSR just reflects the amount of times kill and die, that’s all. The skill could be reflected by looking at the overall pilot stats…
ELO = Skill Rating needs to be something genuine. Yet I dont belive that it can be archived with the digits given by the game.
Yes that is quite true. Pick a machete s with purple command modules and stay behind a rock. 6900 module range will do the rest and you will have the best eff in the game without firing a shot.

Very true, you’ll end up first in points, you’ll help out your teammates with your auras, but you’ll not gain any “Skill Rating” points because assists don’t sum to that number, only kills, and of course deaths (minus points). The system must be revamped and take into consideration assists, heals, buffs, capture points, bomb captura and planting, W/L, etc…

Fly Empire LRF, watch your DSR climb while bored.
Go for a sprinter medal and repeated bomb plantings in detonation, watch your DSR plummet.
DSR is more about how much you don’t die, not how effective you are. Everything in this game can be farmed if you have the focus.
