In what “Units/time zone” have you had your Games scheduled (as what time you were told by organisers it would happen?)?
In that link you posted, it is in Moscow time.
right there, none of those hours fit
the only fitting one is 18.00 for moscow, UTC+4 fits nowhere, 2pm utc doesnt fit either

Well, nighters UTC nor Moscow have daylight time change so that couldn’t be the reason for wrong time, unless you were told wrong time from the start.
P.S. no offence, but if I were to be told schedule in the format Doombot posted, I would went out of my way to find out what it actually means, cause that message makes zero sense, I sure hope your team did not decide a match time just by following that.

Actually this does not tell absolutely anything, what time and where he changed, maybe he meant that he did change his time at home clock or something.
But mostly look at Charile’s post, he did NOT even try to explain your situation, he just yapped around that his team Lead is not around that is it, he did not mentioned once that your whole team is in confusion and expects the game to start in 1 hour. It did not even looked like Charily knew that rest of the team was confused about the time, and he acted like time was right.

It’s not his fault, this thing with time transition is pretty annoying for anyone. I also should just write it in Moscow time. Drawbacks of current tournament system, that’s why in November we are implementing ‘Arenas’.

No. Write it in UTC+0. From there, everyone from anywhere across the world can add or subtract and get the right time. Because for example i had no idea that Moscow does NOT shift time at the end of October. Both from Omega’s listed hours and your posts i understood the time for the tournament as 1 hour later*.

Good point about UTC 0 (and about countries time and utc), agree. About conversation with Omega, we discussed with him the European time and the difference between EU (Omega from Germany) and MSK time (cause it was changed last night).

The point is that if it has a time in a title of when the next cycle starts, it is very possible it will be screwed up if it is not a countdown type of a timer.
Dreadnought cycles have a time stamp in the window, and for A LOT of players that time stamp is OFF by 1 hour, it was reported on Dread release, and was attempted to be fixed but never got fixed. Majority of guys from my corporation (well, that is before they left the game) have it by 1 hour off.
Doombot, the most annoying part about it all was that we were completely ignored right before that match. Just some random stuff in Russian, no info, no response as to what we should do. And besides that - no official announcements in English, no consistency in tournament times (with or without shifts), and all that between trying to decipher what little was said in the meantime. Most of what we knew about the tournament, we knew either from Omega who contacted you and Lezort through private channels or from our friends in ESB who were kind enough to point us to some more important posts on the Russian forum.
Just see for yourself what has been officially said about this tournament on the English forum and try to figure it all out, or at least please compare the amount of official information on either of the forums.
Plus, if you guys actually expected this time change thing to be that annoying, I don’t see why you didn’t just postpone the last stage of the tournament for sometime next week. Seriously.

That actually has it’s reasons. There was not really enough time to move it even further.
But you are right, could’ve been better at some point. But tournament is over, and this situation can not really happen that way again.

Oh yeah, but we needed something like one hour of brainstorming to get what time it would be (i have to admit that not the brightest minds of the century were involved). We did that one week before the tournaments actually starts, probably with only one day to figured that out that, we would had problems too.
Utc +0 is much more convenient for everyone. Btw if next time tournaments will be an “automatic feature” that would solve a lot of misunderstandings. But still…

why don’t the russians get a taste of what we have? I suggest that all servers be switched to USA-EU-SA for one week, create a tournament and use vague russian and not use the correct names for mods and then make it so we use USA time right before daylights savings time and blame them for not showing up? Watch the russian playerbase decline.
I’ve already gotten over the no show vs FDEF and i appreciate doombot working things out with me and my members, but honestly, this tournament is a mess for non russian players.
Also, use a countdown timer plz. This timezone crap is confusing as hell.
And while millanbel has brought up sec con, yes it’s the wrong time so plz use countdown timers. (if you want i can give you the code lol) And change the time back to 10pm eastern time plz. it’s midnight eastern time which is complete bull. Seriously, on weekdays, who plays at midnight if they have a job?
