Sadly, stopping with the game.

^This.

No. It’s not just you.

Agreed

Here we go -1 here

Sad to see some players go, but imo its much better than having a bunch of crybabies make the game development grind to a halt.

Let alone the fact that WoW is xxxx and this isn’t.

HEAR HEAR!

Lol, if anything the players stopping right now were the few actually on the forums? There aren’t that many on the forums, and with a lot of em stopping, it’s gonna be quite silent here I think.

Not to mention, these devs have been making horrible decisions for the last few patches, if anything they need someone to send em the right way.

i’ll still look in the forum and hope that some things will change back but i don’t think that will happen

Didnt think my topic would still be alive, I did quite for a while, I came back again for a look, sadly they screwed it up a second time, posted this in another thread;

Wauw, after the loyalty screwup this is just… I mean, Iam lacking words for it, I have about 10 ships, most of which modules were removed, I went from 3.6M credits, to 4.4M then I refitted my Acid Hydra, who which btw I cannot play anymore the way I enjoyed, not a sniper, but a support, in the thick of things frigate, because of its capability to hold out long, but not to long. That has been removed, completely. But to the point, I refitted the acid hydra and I got 69k credits left on only MKII stuff. I mean, WHAT THE HELL, its only one refitted ship out of my ten! Why are you devs so intent on ruining this game for the already small playerbase???

It got worse that the acid hydra itself is now very weak, Sniping against frigates, pointless ( know it isnt my main target, but if nothing is in range, you gotta hit something, but they often dont take any dmg of it) Fighters and Inty’s seem more agile and I have absolutly zero survival abilities, you know what I used to do with it? Support my team, going into battle, slightly at range but still usefull for buffs and hits, I would still die if I pressed to far, but I could take a few hits and I had pulsar to have at least a scare away abilitie every so often, right now, nada. Worse, all ships lost the modules so I cannot even equipe a new ship, go do pve? Yea, fun…

Hey if the game is too much for you its time to go.  Check back in later and see if its something you like.  But leaving with the Oh you lost my business you silly misguided Devs post is just lame.

Don’t ya just hate having to learn to play a video game.  No more easy button … Welcome to the future.

Best of Luck

i don’t think that there was anything “easy button” on a fed frig. they have nearly doubled hp now but it’s not what i want. i had a group-support-ship, now i would have a metric ton of crap

I’ve fracking HAD it with this fracking game.

in between screwing a lot of people over every patch and stealth nerfing the xxxx out of everything this patch went too far.

stealth nerfs that made modules completly useless, voltage regulator(10% mk1, 11% mk3), emergency barrier(1 second).

screwing me over: making all my T2 MK3 mods T3 MK3, which I couldn’t use due to loyalty. Making me have no money, no modules I could use. Had to sell those items and ended up with enough credits to barely get 1 ship fitted with mk1 crap! Meaning I am now back to T2, without credits, without useful ships.I can grind another 4 weeks to get all that xxxx together again just because these full of crap devs don’t know how to make a proper patch!

Once my laptop is back from repairs im gone from this game!

this is just another pay to win … I like the game, and the mechanics are similar to Freelancer … which was great in its time. But if you can have F2P people at least being “on-par” with the P2W people then you won’t get alot of F2P as there’re other games out there with more even battlefields

well have fun with Pay to Win … this Beta was great til the last patch

This game is not P2W. Normal ships/equipment are equal to premium ships/equipment.

i saw error post in this thread and was looking forward to a official response to player unhappiness, nope … defending p2w (quite rightly so this game is NOT P2W).

When are the developers/Managers going to comment on the current status of the game.

It will be always a slow grind one way or another, the mechanic is there to prevent that you reach end game lets say in a week and to provide both the player and devs with the time ( and the “addiction” ) for one to play the game and the other to correct stuff and bring more content into it.

This is the best point , in Beta, where people can point the Devs the right way to go and how people would actually give them their money, just saying, like you did on the first post, yeh, i play 30h in total, my license is up and this game aint fun anymore because license blabla… well that gives us a completely diferent picture from what you , or what i imagine, are trying to say.

And btw, i find it that most games lifespawn and mostly relatively short and disapointing in comparison to the old days, a bit of a challenge should be there.

Ya know mate… I followed this thread to garner some oppinions. Where I’m a tiny bit confused is the veracity, and hostility, you express at the mention of some other lads oppinion. What they said was neither an attack on yourself, the general populace, or even honestly the developers. It was a statement of the fact that he simply didn’t find things as fun as he once did, and went to the trouble to explain why.

That said, I’m amazed to see some, via the internet, so handily helping themselves to rather large handfuls of free internet courage. It’s well and good to have an oppinion, but to take anothers so pointedly NOT directed at yourself, and make it personal enough to go on a multipost war of disagreement… it smacks of a need for a bit of maturity. I’m sure you’ll have some plucky retort, after all you’ve piled enough on some folks in here for simply having a view you didn’t like… Two parting thoughts…

Beta isn’t a term, until recently, that was meant to be an endless free pass for on-going development.

Having a choice doesn’t make it inherently fair, fair being a subjective term of course.

I personally don’t like everything that the dev’s have done. However I do feel that they’ve done an overall great job, and I like this game. I can certainly see how some might not. It’s as beneficial to hear from those that don’t like something and why, as it is to have sunshine blown up ones bum and told your awesome.

Were was i agressive in my answer? Or personal? These kind of misleading quotes should be avoided because if you actually read what i wrote properly it translates into Play more and then say something usefull other then i play 2 hours and i haven’t reached endgame yet.

This thread has already expired and served its purpose, could the mods lock it please ?

/End thread. Its becoming a flame war.

I dare you to start a fresh account, and get to t3+.  Actually I double dog dare ya!

I’d keep the model the same, just remove gear, add a few more pretty skinned ships etc

I dunno, maybe I’m just burned out already on the game, and at the “ain’t nothin gonna get me back in” phase, if that’s the case, bummer dude!

I got 250 hours into the game in 4 weeks, and was far from being burned out(maybe going a little easier on the hours/day couldn’t hurt tho) until 0.8.0 hit.

I really do love what they did to contracts, from the short time that i played after 0.8.0 it got a nice boost, not perfect yet, but very well along the way of before 0.8.0.

But the role changes, and mostly ruining my account, ruined the game for me…in 0.7.13(or whatever it was) the game was great, besides the loyalty, and I was really having a ton of fun and would have been happy to throw money at the game…But now…No thanks, I’d rather throw money at steam or whatever.

This game is not P2W. Normal ships/equipment are equal to premium ships/equipment.

What a joke.

Your statement is right only after years of grinding for TIV.

“This game is not P2W up to tier 2, tier 3 if you like grinding” is the right statement.

On the subject of the so-called “crybabies”, I put more value to their opinion than a thousand official reviews on official review sites and/or in official publications. Why? Because we live in an age where game companies actively lie to us.

We are lied to about quality of product. We are lied to about DRM. We are lied to when we are told they didn’t remove a chunk of the game just to sell it back to us at £10 a pop. Pirates get a better version of some games than legal customers, and legal customers get treated like pirates.

There is no reason to believe anything a company says, because odds are everything they say goes through a marketing filter to try and paint themselves in the best possible light. Notice now no games company can ever admit they were wrong? Notice how they never acknowledge their naysayers, or accept responsibility for financial failures or god-awful design choices?

Why, then, should I believe anything they tell me about their game. Why, for that matter, should I believe the ‘opinion’ of someone who could lose their job if they piss off such a company? Who can we turn to then if not review sites or the game creators themselves?

The people who are pissed off. Even now, years later, there is uproar over Mass Effect 3 or Dragon Age 2. Hell, I still get bile rising when I think of that piece of crap. But why? Why do I still get so angry at how Dragon Age 2 tanked the franchise to hell? I didn’t make the game, I don’t profit from its popularity, positive or negative. Why should I care so much?

The answer is simple; I loved Dragon Age: Origins. I sunk far too many hours into that game and I wanted to see it do well so we would get sequels. When we got Dragon Age 2 it wasn’t what I, or many other fans, wanted. Now we don’t want the franchise to do well because we don’t want more games like Dragon Age 2!

The same thing happens here. A lot of can see great potential in Star Conflict, but we have virtually no control over the game. All we can do is spend money or not spend money; encourage others to spend, or not to spend. When we appear to be driving people away it is not because we are malicious trolls who are trying to ruin a company for a laugh; it is because we strongly disagree with the company’s business model, their development direction or some other key aspect surrounding the game, and we want them to change it.

Let’s take it to an extreme. Imagine that I am a God and, with but a single word, I could convince 90% of this game’s playerbase to uninstall and never return. I guarantee you that if I were to post “I don’t like lasers being red - they should be green” that next week’s patch would give us green lasers. But I am not a God, and I cannot sway you all in that fashion… but collectively, we can achieve the same thing. In theory, at least, we can unite to decide whether a game lives or dies. If 90% of the community logged out for a fortnight in protest over a change, that change would be undone. It would have to be; the alternative is for the game to die.

We rant, then, because it is our only weapon. We rant because we see a fundamental flaw in what should be a great game, and we want to convince the developers to fix that flaw. Our only hope of doing this is to watch the evolution of the game and act accordingly; encourage people to play when it is good, drive them away when it is bad.

If the game dies because of that, it isn’t our fault; it’s the developer’s fault for not listening.
