Restriction in the number of Ship types(POLL)

IV.6.d and IV.6.f also state you shall not actively avoid dealing damage to the enemy or actively avoid combat. IV.6.i states you shall not aid the enemy team.

LRF sat in spawn is nowhere near the fight, nor is he attacking the enemy. They effectively reduce the number of active players, thus aiding the team.

After I killed the LRF in SQ he started taking part again, but he’d cost us the match by then. We’d been forced to try and fight 2v3 because he’d spent several minutes doing nothing at spawn when he could have been aiding us or capping a beacon elsewhere.

So, LRFs not only hurt the team, they violate at least two rules on a regular basis.

 

 

So you rather go after the CLASS vice the knucklehead that did not know any better ?    Come on MAN !   

 

As an Jericho LRF pilot I take exception to your ruling…     Just because that knucklehead did not know how to effectively use the LRF doesn’t mean the class is bad it is the PLAYER.

In fact I think 1 styx, 1 sigurd and 2 Ira Deus is better. The dual torpedo focusing in one ship is deadly, and the DPS is the same. With Shield repair stations and drones in the styx, the Ira Deus tank is less an issue.

I alread fly LRF that way. I love being the first person to cap in capture the beacons when I’m flying a Cerberus. Yes, in most games I miss out on captures and such due to low speed, but it’s worth it for crippling everyone who comes into positron range and mining objectives when intys try for a quick cap.

In fact, that should be the LRF’s redesign - the F-module is a minefield layer. Make them a bit faster and you’ll have a badass area denial ship; 6 guns + mines + EM torp = PAIN!

I fear for the Ira’s far lower survivability. It can’t compete with the Sigurdr. Cerberus… debatable.

This is a really good idea, we should do this.

“Artillery Frigate” has a better ring to it. 

 

Just remove the special functions, replace them with something else, and give all its weapons an extra 5000 range.

possible solution is to limit the range of disintegrators and torpedos by a few km. So instead of a sniper sitting 12 km from the centre of the map he has to move closer because the disintegrator would have a range of 7km or something

Low player count battles are so unbalanced. Those 517k damage from xKostyan are rather impressive though, don’t think I’ve ever seen that high. Must have been a funny game with them just throwing themselves at his guns.

Maybe because the Positron Outscale all the Frigate’s Weapons actually?

And there are a hundred morons for every good player for literally every class. So what?
