Golden Eagle and Falcon-M
A lot of rotation because it’s the best. Collision Compensator will protect your tiny hull from collisions. You can put Shared Cooler without any problem to fire for more time. EB is mandatory as always. Energy Regeneration because you want to keep afterburning. Adaptive shield as always. Proton Wall against ECMs and Crit Chance for DPS. Since you have 3 CPU slots you can change those Infrared Scanners for other stuff depending on your playstyle.
Weapon is obviously a EM one. Plasma Gun is pretty meh and RFB is a very powerful weapon so for me the option is obvious. Active Modules the same as always.
For Falcon-M just put 2 Verniers, EB, Adaptive Shield, Passive Armor + Kinetic/Thermal resist and Proton Wall + something in the CPU.
Storm Viking
I have two different kind of playstyles I like but Idk if I can call them standard.
This one is more aggressive with the weapon I love, it’s basically a build for killing people. You’re not very energy stable but you can just remove the Pulse Discharger. You can also get rid of the Submatter Shield and put something else but I like the extra speed. The ship is very slow otherwise.
This one is more support oriented, you have way more energy regen, more strafe so you can dodge enemy shots. And I replace the Ion Diffuser for WSI. You could use all 4 ECM modules but I like the Repair Kit.
For Caltrop I’d go with 1 Engine with Verniers, 1 Capacitor with EB, 2-3 Shields with adaptatives, 1-2 hull with Passive armor and something, and 2-3 CPU with proton wall + something.
I got a chance to try out the falcon build.
The ‘timed’ survivability made a large difference in dog fights. I was able to stay in the fight more or less indefinately. Infact for the first time ever I wasn’t going for beacons in a beacon fight. I tied up the entire team in one nuts dogfight while the rest of my team took the beacons.
While testing I refused the take out the ammo type you use. Extra damage for negative projectile speed. I hate the ammo. It is a fair bonus vs fighters. It is a large bonus vs friggates. Though a large negative vs a skilled interceptor pilot. In all I am going to try a different ammo, though there is a fair chance that I will use the extra damage minus to projectile speed ammo in the end.
I did take out one of the crit modules for a smaller spread. I am just cheating vs friggates & fighters at this point…
Shield and hull boost modules make EB nuts.
In all I am going to steal this build for the Golden.

by t5 you should learn to fly with no Collision compensator, even in terrible ping+packet loss

Acceleration engine or 3rd vernier are a godsent in 3rd Federation engine

For GoldenE, drop the voltage regulator and put a Multiphase Generator, that extra energy pool will go a looooooong way, even though you gonna have ~2-3 energy/s lower regen, your “stable region” will be higher

Drop Gigas 2 for a Cheetah 2, that extra 40m/s will do amazing things on your survival and aggression cycles.

I find dmg+speed booster to be the most noticeable.

Collision compensators are important when you only have 3k hull. Even with a low ping. Course I’ve about 200 ping and 2% packet loss. You can imagion it as an ECM pilot hits you with a 1 second ion about once or twice every 20 seconds. I’ve had bad enough ping that I will appear in a near by static mesh.
With the Golden I did switch out to multipe phase generator. I found shield boosting at the correct time well worth the the -5 to power regen.
