Not only the title -_-
It would be awesome if people recast-ed their vote also to fit the new poll title. Initially i voted “No” also, banning is never a good idea. But then i changed the vote, yes, it’s possible to do that.
Or make a new poll about it with the proper explanations and main post expressed correctly, this thing might be important enough to warrant clarity.

He already did by whisper. Haven’t seen him in high tiers anyway.

Very nice suggestion, for some reason I deleted the poll and made a new one but the votes remained the same. Then just deleted the poll, to save the changes and make a new one later and don’t know how to add the poll now…

What happened?
No Stats for T1 matches sounds good to me.
For someone who just starts the game with T1 could still count the stats of T1 but then reset them when they get into T2. That way they can see/learn how the stats work before it gets harder.
The problem with players matching in T1 is related to MM it got worse around a month ago as they moved back to fixed Tier queuing. Before that when someone in a squad with high SR uses a T1 ship they still wouldn’t meet any beginners as you would be put in beginning T2 queues.
The issue I see with removing stats from tier 1 is that it actually makes it more appealing for players to tier down.
Assuming I go back to flying T1, if a pilot gets a lucky kill on me then my DSR is going to tank through the floor, whereas I get little to no DSR boost for killing them.
Take that away and there is now one less mechanic to encourage a pilot to fly at the ‘correct’ tier.

For a game where you gain stuff by playing, a veteran playing T1 would get absolutely nothing. No credits, no loot, no SR, no stats, nothing.

You won’t lose anything either. Repair and ammo costs in T1 are ridiculous.
Removing stats from your games in T1 will be just better for the veterans. I can go back to T1, pick a Harpy or an hercules rage and just kill anyone I want without fear of losing 100 DSR per game, because it is not counting towards my stats.

I don’t get it…you could also go jump off a cliff, it doesn’t mean you will actually do that. Yes, if you’re bored you could go play 1-2-3 T1 games to have some fun and kill everyone, but you won’t actively FARM T1, like some people do at the moment.

T1 is the beginner tier. People don’t and shouldn’t be playing there for stats. Most t1 players are (or should be) brand new to the game.
It makes more sense for t1 to be the prologue and not the start of a journey
I know a certain somebody with thousands of games who specifically dropped down to T1 just to get their avg. kills high. If it wasn’t for that, i dont think that player had a reason to drop to t1

I think players do it to boost their win/loss ratio and average kills per battle, not for DSR
(which leads to fake stats - if they play tier 3+ they get high 5’d in the face with a brick)

Exactly this

back to the topic… it’s good idea I want to be able to play T1 w/o losing my precious DSR!

- Play 20 games in T1 with a zealot.
- Drop your DSR to 1100.
- Go back to T4.
- Kill a high DSR farmer.
- ???
- profit!
