Remove All Stats from T1

It’s simple, if you have more than X games, let’s say 250 your stats dont count in T1 unless all your ships in your roster are not elite. Only for normal PvP. That means that if you want to level your T1 ships you can still do it, but you shouldn’t be able to take 4 elite premium ships (or not premium) and farm stats.

I want this to prevent T1 farmers, seriously, I will keep complaining about them untill they are gone, they are a cancer, new players like me with less than 50 games (actually not me because I’ve seen my brother playing for hours and I have played with his ships too) are just being stomped by this guys with more than 500 games. They are all from the same corps and they do 4 men squads, killing easily everything in their path. And they do it just to farm stats, you look at their profiles and they have ESB-like stats, but well, without being any good out of that Tier.

I don’t find it fair and I want them out of that tier now. Imagine what would be your feeling if you try for the very first time a game and you have no idea about it, and MM puts you against an organiced team of “veteran” player that just wrek you. Most of you would leave the game because of the horrible experience, wouldnt you? Maybe not you but the average Joe would do it.

This is obviously not healthy for the community because it prevents new players to evolve, level up and learn to play.

But ok you can keep complaining about T3 deathsquads while I’m here raging.

I agree that they shouldn’t be in tier 1 but I don’t think that banning people from playing the tier once they had reached a certain amount of games is a good idea. This is a F2P game and technically people can play how they like. Also what if a friend had just started playing and you want to play with them? You would have to wait for them to reach tier 2.

They probably farm tier 1 because in tier 3+ they get rinsed ^-^

I guess ill not use my T1 premiums any more.

I have mixed feelings about this post. When I restarted I did encounter full elite ships in t1, but the worse of it was looming inside of t2. The t1 issue should be solved by making it so that once you have unlocked the 4th combat slot rank 1-3 battles are off limits.

Well, you got a point, why not banning 3 or 4 men squads? It’s cool to help a friend by playing with him T1, I’m ok with that, but corporation “death” squads in that tier is ridiculous.

No. Grow some balls and go to real tiers to face real oponents. Why would you want T1 premiums in the first place appart from using them as a fleet strength boost?

That’s a very nice suggestion indeed. But still if your ships are not elite and you have the fourth slot you should still be able to play T1.

Anyway the people I’m talking about have between 300 and 600 games, and they could still exploit it just by not getting a rank 12 ship.

There are seal clubbers in any tiered PVP game, and to be fair you can make that argument about kill squads in any tier since they will always face roll the randoms synergizing their Mk.1 fitted ships and just having entered the tier with a single ship, the rest of them a tier lower. The only thing special about doing it in T1 is that it might turn new players away, but it might also motivate them to get to the point where they can farm newbies themselves in their own kill squad.

Personally I don’t respect seal clubbers, but blocking content (that they may have paid for) from players is out of the question. What should be done is a solution on the match-making level so genuinely new players are in their own queue for their first x amount of battles. It’s how it’s done in other games and it works well.

Although I have seen you suffering from this, blocking content as Snib and other says is maybe too heavy.

It would be nice that people with, say less than 50 games have their on queues (with the current population that’s not good anyway), just like that Rookie bonus that gives 45% damage and resistances to the players on their first 15 games. Something like that.

Why would you care? In any game with public stats there are players who will game them either for their own e-peen or for selling the accounts. It’s why I’m opposed to public stats, ratings, achievements and all that other nonsense (in this game e.g. contracts) which does not promote proper game play. But that train has left the station long ago so we’ll have to deal with it.

He’s the one who cares, that’s why he is doing what he is doing, to show how big his d… skill is, you know. If for example profiles were private people wouldnt mind of doing that kind of things.

Here is my own version: Before i even join a corp i was have round 1000 battles by going in tier 1 alone

Through my experience It goes without saying that this needs to be done one way or a another to prevent high skill full players to “play” with the new players in tier 1

It makes people quit the game before they even started

Serious

Fix it.

He didn’t post his profile, you did. Stop caring, get out of T1 and the rage will go away. As I said I support getting genuine new players their own queue, but at the end of the day it doesn’t matter all that much? If you are progression minded you don’t spend much time in T1 anyway, a handful of battles and you got a full T2 line-up.

That’s the thing, with the new mm you can bring a t1 to t2 battles, hence allowing you to level them up, although it would be painful to play.

Nothing needs to be changed. To an ace player who is concerned about rating, tier 1 battles are very frustrating. One death, even in a 20 kill game, you will lose 20+ rating points, easily offsetting your gains from 20+ kill no death T1 battles. In at least 1 in 4 Tier 1 games (or many more if you arent careful), you reach a situation where it is impossible to escape death, no matter your skill. skill can only do so much with 2 active modules. Anyone who frequently plays tier 1 is punished in that they will never be able to get their rating very far over 1300.

I personally really like to play tier 1 matches, but only do so maybe once or twice a week, because it is fun and refreshing to go back to that simple playstyle, and it is also fun to carry games. an excellent way to blow off steam if i’ve had a bad day at school. Tier 1 matches are fun in their own way and there should definitely not be a restriction on anyone who wants to play them.

A restriction on tier 1 access would mean that many people who have paid money for tier 1 premiums would not be able to fly their ships!  GE/star gem (whoever is in charge) would have to give non-Aces refunds on their tier 1 ships. And if they don’t, people will quit the game.

People who invest the time to become very good at this game have the right to pwn! Dont punish people for becoming good! Dont reward people for being terrible! we dont want this to become like other games where people purposely kill their rating for easy matches/matchups.

That is very true. I guess that there is no need to have a restriction on higher players that drop back to t1.

this is not true, if a pilot any smart, he can easily go with 15+ kills and no death every single match, there is a certain ship that allows you to do so, especially if its maxed out and with mk4 modules. you can easily get from 1000 rating to 1400 within 20 battles

This, you just don’t die in recons. In addition, the only ones really threatening to kill you are other rating farmers. You have no idea how hard it is to actually get killed in T1 even if you’re intentionally going there to die (to lower your rating). Most of the people in T1 are genuinely new and in the process of figuring out the controls and whether red or blue are the enemy.

That’s what makes farming T1 so despicable. Worst are the rating farmers who rage at their team, I get really angry at them - if they wanted to play with skilled team mates and opponents they clearly wouldn’t be in T1.

i’ll agree to this if you 1. give a refund in exp and credits spent in t1 to compensate our lost investments  and 2. ban all garbage and new players from playing in T3 and up

I wasn’t talking about Recon :)))

Well, personally I’d farm T1 in a gunship if I wanted to farm, but if you want truly unkillable it’s recons.
