Reduce grind for new ships

Since my previous thread was closed prematurely and suggestions in the patchnotes are often missed in the rush of discussions, here is another suggestion thread for you that will get seen and hopefully acted upon.

Make the new premium ships cheaper or increase the droprate of ship parts. 240+ hours of grind to get three ships is not reasonable.

And do not try to use the excuse that these ships are premium, because these ships offer game-changing functionalities that should be available to all players, and not just those that pay.

They are available,but you have to grind a lot,i dont like it either but would you rather have a regular gunship,or a gunship that has a flipping EM Plasma Arc Aura that looks like a pancake?A regular Engineer or one that has frickin lazor drones that fuc up even blackholes and a healing laser ripped off robocraft?A regular Guard or one that gets focused by all the ECM and Cov Ops and dies instantly?(Actually that one sounds horrible…)Lemme tell ya,don’t,just buy them with GS whenever you get to,win some forum contests,tourneys or dread GS tax collecting(Trump Simulator 2k17 10/10-IGN)and you should be settled…

I would at the very least allow all ships in the tier to count for each ship. Same with ore drops.

Remove the daily part limit and increase the amount of parts dropped to one node (maybe a random number between 1 and 25 since the bundle can drop 50 in 1). It’s one of the only ways to fix this problem without changing the way the parts drop.

Accourding to our data and statistics, any active pilot can farm those ships in 2 months. Could be more, could be less, depends on how lucky you are. Remember about chance, it’s unpredictable

I would love to see how you define “active” pilots. Even if every single game I had ever played on my main was in max synergy Rank 8 ships I would still not be able to build a Destroyer from PvP / PvE loot alone.

All 3 in 2 months or 2 months for every ship alone?

Not that I understand the Q.Q about those guys, but doing the math with tournaments your solution/timeplan is way faster. o.o

People asked for Destroyers. People did not ask for Destroyers to be given insane requirements that mean most players can never own one.

 

People asked for materials to be added to PvP / PvE drops. They asked for this because the drop rate in open space was too low, and a lot of people didn’t want to play that mode.  Nobody asked you to up the requirements a thousand fold.

 

Don’t blame us for your choices. This is all on you.

We are listening and watching carefully. But suggestions need strong arguments. “Make it easier just because” would not work. If you have some numbers to offer, it’s quite important to say why this numbers.

For example, some guys will come to the thread and say “Let’s increase it! We think that it’s too easy to make new premium ships!”. They’ll have the same arguments as you have now.

If you guys won’t share your statistics, and any of my arguments based on a small sample of statistics (people complaining about getting 7 ship parts in 40 wins, and myself getting 5 ship parts in an hour of gameplay leading to my VERY generous calculation of 240 hours total) are dismissed as being just “bad luck”, then we have no basis for a discussion.

If i understand correctly then real player experiences in terms of numbers i previosly wrote.

 

At the moment 40 wins in multiple game modes with license.

Recieved 10 parts, no neo or berries and 7 of the parts came within the 1st 10 wins.

Even assuming a part per win in the fastest pve at R13 then it still works out as around 50hrs of playtime in terms of pure ‘grind’… For one ship.

 

Numbers have not changed much since then other than a small investment into the game to see what payment would offer. 12 parts out of 600 is the answer for a x5 bundle.

 

Hope this kind of info will help and id encourage others to give their own, if thats what is being asked for.

 

My arguement or interpretation is that 50hrs as a ‘fast route’ calculation is a game in and of itself these days and many dont want to play the game solely for speedrunning pve to get a single ship. Also that paying learned me the lesson that even comparing to intensive play it will only take a day or two off the grind. Build your own premium ship indeed.

 

Also in this example a license was active so more GS.

Hey dont be hasty, its not really a small sample when so many having these problems lately. One of the most commented on things in game chat right now.

I personally not against the amount fo time needed, but totally against a strict 1 rank requirement, it limits the game and match performance to much, you either play to win, or you play to get a chance for a reward you want, it is harmful to a team, own mood and so on.

Reality of the game is that in order to be prepared for a game and perform well (aka play for win) 90% of the times you better of having +/-1 rank ships in your hangars, having only to chose form one rank goes against the philosophy of the game itself.

Heh I never thought to complain about that since there were more pressing issues, but I do agree with you that it is a bit restrictive.

Exactly what im doing now all R13 its a nice change of pace and a little different than what iv been used to. Thing is that i can say ‘this is fun for a while’ but for me it looks like this ‘while’ will be shorter lived than the wish to gain one of these new ships, way shorter.

As I mentioned before those ranks was chosen, cause they’re most popular. What do you think about how this system should be look like?

Tiers, not ranks.

 

The R7 drops should be available to R7, R8 and R9.

 

The R10 drops should be R10, R11 and R12.

That’s the bare minimum to fix this.
