Fair enough, that is one of the dangers of it. But you can just tell them you are another person with the character and link the buy/sale thread to proof it.
And you can always do a little googling about their chars to find out their history.
Edit: And I’m still waiting here on my Collectors Edition D: Damn DHL is slow >.>
Looks absolutely awesome. I’m biased though, I love the X series.
Looks promising, but tbh, I still have to finish half of the games in the terran conflict and keep massing money in albion prelude. I don’t have time for those games…

I know the feel, neither do I. But I will make time as it’s one of those games that let’s me chill out and just fly around whilst talking to people who are important to me. Maybe stream it a little bit for good measure - just cause I can and because it looks freaking gorgeous.
Ultimately I hope it improves on X3:R and X3:TC in a manner that makes it equally enjoyable but with a less frustrating interface. Half the time I spend playing those games (literally hundreds of hours) I was battling the UI more than anything else. Equipping a battleship was an exercise in frustration, trying to find the system modules and weapons for all turrets, followed by setting the right commands and targeting options.
Never mind supplying said capital ships as they couldn’t dock directly in most places.
Whilst I have nothing but fond memories I simply recognise how bad/clunky the UI and controls really were. Never mind spaghetti-junctions in space station complexes, or the ridiculous auto-pillock which pretty much guaranteed your untimely demise in any sector with any object more complex than a basic square.
I also have fond memories of exiting a jump gate, only to slam directly into a giant capital ship on the other side. The ‘lights’ on the jump gates were meant to indicate when it was safe, but this wasn’t exactly fool proof. Kind of frustrating to see ‘game over’ when you haven’t saved for a few hours. (A frequent occurance as I can completely forget about time in that universe.)

God. xxxx. Damnit.
I reached a point in X2 where I’d just blow every xxxx Capital out of the sky just so my Capital Train could safely pass.
I hope rebirth will be goo as well. I played the x3 games for a bit each, but i have yet to understand a single thing beyond firing at enemies and travelling 20 jumps for 10 minutes or more, for 1 mission of 2 minutes…
PS: what the hell is attracting people so much to Steam? What’s so good about it? I personally just see it as a terrible terrible addon to my computer.
Yeah, I told them about that yesterday, they weren’t too keen on it because of the mods they wanted.
Wait what? I didn’t say that xd (or maybe i’m misunderstanding)
And i discovered Nexus before we talked about it yesterday. GEMS is the one i didn’t know about at that time.
Followed Gopher’s vids on how to install them properly and stuff. Gotta say i’m amazed i nailed 90% of them right in the first try before even researching them lol. But now i feel more confident and can add more of them.
