Other games to play

Anyone got any suggestions? Can be most kinds of game, just don’t go ridiculous…

Currently I am playing Medieval 2: Total War mostly, but the campaign is getting kinda stale.(It always ends with me being in a massive war and no diplomacy)

Not gonna play Rome 2 till i got a better PC.

I am looking at minecraft, but sadly the price is a big ~meh~ point for me.

I have to say, I love Medieval, but if your looking for a game with more diplomacy, the only one similar that I can think of is the Civilization Series. Namely Civ 4 and 5, though they lack the RTS elements of Total War. Age of Empires is also a classic, but that is all war, and all RTS…

If you want to jump Genre, almost anything RPG that Bethesda makes is amazing. Even if you beat the story line of Fallout 3 or Skyrim, you can still satisfy yourself with endless hours of mods.

Just a few suggestions…

Fallout 3…Good times…

Skyrim…Not so much…Too much walking, not really fun…The “end boss” was easy as xxxx as well…Took me a total of 3 minutes to kill him and most of that was the others walking…

Civ is a good game, I got civ 5 for free on steam(Voted on a game-vote site a month ago, got to choose between 2 games, civ was the obvious one lol) i suppose I should install it.

Age of empires is also a quite good game, haven’t played it in a LONG time though. But my memories of it are quite good.(Especially the first one…Go villagers! Hit them with giant bones the size of your body! Not to mention that intro <3)

There’s plenty of games to recommend, any genre in special?

By the way, if you like Medieval 2, try Shogun 2, it’s the same, but Samurai’s Style. Also Europa Universalis IV is a nice semi-RTS, or you can try Civilization like Hyranic said, I recommend the fourth, it’s the better by far.

Another space game? Can’t think of anything “new”, but the X games are great, but time consuming. Freelancer is a classic, an awesome classic, and there’s an active community making patches, you can even play it online in one of the dedicated servers.

If you like RPG, you should go backwards, there’s plenty of awesome game, mostly for hand-held consoles. For PC you could always install Neverwinter Nights, Dungeon Siege… There’s also Wasteland 2 coming soon for PC, a classical western RPG.

Lol, AoE 2 was my first experience with an RTS when I was younger. Even with the new games coming out, and their trailers, that chess game intro is still my all time favorite.

Original AoE intro, how can you not love that?

AoE2 intro was beast as well.

Shogun 2(Well, pirated) had major FPS issues for me sadly.

the x series…I got them some short time ago on humble bundle, and can’t say I love them. What I have seen of them is they are very confusing.

And I sadly don’t have a console, if I did I think i would have so many games to play xD

Well, if you want, I can search some performance mods for you, there’s a Total War forum full of resources, modding tools, patches, and etc…

About consoles, well, I don’t have one atm, used to be a Sony fanboy until I broke my 3rd PS2 lens of over-use xD

I don’t know if there are forums rules against piracy or things like that, but you can always emulate. There are some awesome RPGs from the 8, 16 and 32 bits era that you must play, that everyone should play at last once in a lifetime. And if your PC (mostly your processor) is good enough, you can try with a Wii/NDS/PSP/PS2 emulator.

Space Strategy … dealing with conquering planets and solar systems…  SINS of SOLAR EMPIRE

A bit slow … I have dozed off at times…  but lots of battles and playing defensively or going on the attach… also have raiding pirates who go after everyone.

Available in Stream

I intend on getting a PS3 still, partly because of Dust 514(EVE online’s FPS shooter, got some things I can redeem on there whenever I get a PS3) though with my small TV screen(small room as well), might not be the best idea for now…

I used a PS2 emulator some time ago for LOTR: Third Age. Worked perfectly because it was turn based with unlimited time. But other games that were more active had massive problems due to me not having a controller so had to use half my keyboard to get actual functionality >.<(Which ofcourse did not work that well)

I used to emulate some N64 games(Pokemon stadium mostly) & GBA/GB games(Mostly pokemon as well xD ) but sadly the 3DS is not possible to play through emulator I think…I should check it out for pokemon X I suppose…I really want to play that game

Got it, all of them ^.^

After 500 hours it tends to get kind of stale though :frowning:

Not the 3DS, just the DS

And please, get a generic joystick :stuck_out_tongue:

~If I had the money~

And IF I were to get a DS, might as well get the best :stuck_out_tongue:

THE EMULATOR DUDE! lol, I were talking about the NDS emulator, you have plenty of RPGs there :stuck_out_tongue:

Knock yourself out. Most (roughly 60-70%) of those are actually enjoyable to play. If they have zero hours, I’ve either played the hell out of them before or I haven’t had the chance to get to them.

I’m waiting for Strike Vector in early 2014. Currently trying to mod Skyrim for better immersion and replay it as hardcore as possible. The only omitted rule will be: fast travel allowed.

There are others i am waiting for. Right now there’s nothing awesome out to play. They’re all going deeper into the console compatibility, thus dumbing them down.

I might try giving X3 a spin again.

TC. Stay the hell away from Albion, seriously.

xD ~This is why proper communication is important~

Anyway, I don’t think emulating the DS games is as much fun as actually playing them on a DS, while GBA didn’t have that problem because it was all 1 screen.

Ehm… eh… ooook?..

Anyway, any good RTS set in the future and not eating too much memory? Or should i return to Homeworld 2 or Nexus? (tho i beat nexus inside out already)

They are coming with a GalCiv 3! Announced it some short time ago.

Nice list though, several of those look quite interesting, played quite a few of them in your list as well

though some of their prices…Then again ~yarr~

PS: It seems you got too much money with such a large game list xD
