Now the module is balanced. They are already fixing the game, as you can see. One broken module is fixed.
Now you need to plan in advance when to use it, and it is not a panic button even a monkey could use to escape from danger.
Seems perfectly balanced to me. Now you have to plan ahead, recognise potential threats and activate RT before the CovOps starts to plasma arc you.

There was still a lot of discontent surrounding the LRF. In low-to-mid tiers games are routinely ruined by people bringing this class. In higher tiers, veteran builds can make them nigh on unkillable, and people start pulling tricks with them even without RT that make them extremely difficult to live with for anyone who doesn’t have a hard counter.
LRF torpedo still needs a buff. Against some frigates you need 2 JLRFS to continuously fire torps for about 12 seconds.

Last pre-patch PvP I played in my Valor I got double-torped and was on the brink of death. That’s pretty damn powerful for an ability that doesn’t need LoS.
Was it a thermal built valor? Anyways most of the time I have line of sight and simply turn to adjust to movement. Turn radius is not that great to account say that is an advantage. You or the enemy needs to be exposed.

I’ve been killed so many times as captain begging for an engineer hiding behind an asteroid as guided torps fly at me from two or three JLRFs.
If you can manuever from one side of the asteroid to the opposite, then that’s a good enough turn radius. If you can do this from midfield to force the captain to either take the torp or go far enough back that they have no cover, then you’re successful enough.
Not that I really agree with the guided torp/disintegrator nerfs. They really ought to change them back. The RT nerf, on the other hand, is really good. Before the patch, I had a terrible build for Templar AE that I threw a RT on, and it happened to be functionally immortal. Now, I’ll probably change it back to IR pulsar or something, because I don’t really need the manner of mobility RT provides now. On the other hand, people who actually use the special module just might, because it’s a neat way to quickly change where you’re aiming from, so that someone doesn’t lob an EM torp at your face and manage to hit you.

Since I don’t fly my LRF like an LRF, I’m not too worried.
It will be nice not to have JLRFs spamming torps at the captain constantly… though the bigger issue is the abilities are slowly becoming too troublesome to use.
I feel like they need to revisit LRF specials and re-design them completely if they’re going to continue the trend of nerf-hammering them.

Btw, tried the Blood Tormentor today, raped everything. But it’s not better than the good old LRF! LRF’s are the best thing in this game. Forever. If the A1MA thing is over i’ll make a LRF movement.
