The recent ship sales certainly hasn’t helped in that regard.

The problem that this would not be a problem if we were fighting tougher players in general. But pit us against superior ships regardless of the skill of the pilot then we have a problem.

Its like going from a race verses you in a honda civic verses a equal car like a prius, and then the next match, your still in the honda civic but your up against a BMW M3…

Interceptors are super easy to master, just go in, and swerve and weave in all directions while a buddy snipes them in the distance!

It’s a great ship. It takes some time getting used too when you move from another role/class.

In my opinion it is very good against frigates and fighters (slower moving ships) as you can use your plasma arc on them which deals (with purple) more than 18k damage. Then add the plasma web and missiles … deadly ship. Like all fed ships, they are the fastest in their role/class. With the Hawk-M you can still get objectives like capturing beacon, planting bombs. The Camo is great to sneak up on others.

Covertops is a ship to kill other not necessarily survive in (it also has self destruct).

Strangely enough, im a decent pilot with the ricasso, or an imperial ceptor, but not with fed ceptors

oh really. Hm, maybe it is too fast for you :wink:

One time I had implants and modules for rotation speed on an already fast ceptor and couldn’t handle it until I slowed it down…

Ricasso is an awesome ship, I believe it’s because fed ones are squisy and fast as hell, Ricasso is very friendly with any kind of players and very effective.

but that doesn’t mean Ricasso is not awesome anymore. I prefer fed cov ops but from time to time I change to jericho, the playstyle is different so I don’t get bored

I think i may have to abandon any fed ship that isnt a guard. Their counterparts from other factions are just better for me.

Yeah, i know. Thats why i said we should erase tiers. If the ship’s power would raise gradually and not by huge steps, you could always have appropriate challenge. If you are good, you would always play against ships 2-3 ranks above yours, but as we don’t have tiers 3 ranks wouldn’t mean a whole new world.

 

It’s hard to really measure pilot skill, especially because we have different skills for different ships (I’m pretty ok with an command or a recon, but i’m awful with guards or gunships), so we can’t really rely on that. What’s left is ship power.

Yep, I agree. They really need to make some tweaks.
