I seem to only be finding finefw and everrdylost. I used to see NearlyThere on occasion. I’m getting tired of weak teams and opponents lately. The biggest challenge I had recently was working with a two man “squad” where one guy had T2 and two T1 ships in his roster for a T3 battle, and neither above 1k DSR’s. Although the other team showed basic understanding of sticking together they still lost despite an early advantage. I still got a fear me medal for my effort.
Also we have undeniable proof that the MM punishes skill and forces you to lose a match.
I had a squad last night, of 4 in T2 (synergizing ships) and we won about 4 matches, but then we noticed the MM times get longer as every battle after that we saw stronger ships (Rank 7 or 8 verses our Rank 4 or 5s). Then after we still kept winning, the MM gave us crappy team members with T1, and near max synergized T3 ships on the other side.
Thus, you cannot have win streaks anymore, nor can you stay at the top of your game with your skill as you will be punished for it.
You can have winning streaks (well it depends on what how define it, 5 matches, 10 matches or more) but not really as solo player and in a squad only if your are lucky when MM matches you with weaker players even though being queued very high .

It’s not punishment, the MM tries to find you a challenge. If you constantly win it means the game is too easy for you. As you noticed, MM raises difficulty gradually, not with huge steps. The problem is, Tiers mean huge steps, no matter what. Lets erase Tiers and make ship power gain much smoother (so difference between R8 and R9 is similar to R9 and R10)! (or fixed tiers, but than we have other problems)

The problem that this would not be a problem if we were fighting tougher players in general. But pit us against superior ships regardless of the skill of the pilot then we have a problem.
Its like going from a race verses you in a honda civic verses a equal car like a prius, and then the next match, your still in the honda civic but your up against a BMW M3…

But most of the time that BMW will be piloted by a someone that doesn’t know how to ride a tricycle.
