They not only bring down their team but the overall fun in a match. They’re not fun to fight against, some are so bad it feels like farming.
Having them on your side absolutely dreadful. Some people think its cool to bring just one ship or t1 ships alongwith a single t3/t4 in pvp (it hurts the team in realistic mode)
I suggest the game lock people in t2 until they have enough pvp battles to enter t3. Meaning one must fight a certain amount of battles in t2 to enter t3 and then t4. This might improve the quality of battles and make matches more fun and competitive
+1 I’m up for it, it’s a good idea, but you’re gonna be flamed for that, because you’ll be forcing people to play certain tiers/ships and forbidding them from doing “what they want”, even if they REALLY need to learn how to play the game because they’re screwing everyone else experience, but they don’t give a single xxxx.
Also you’ll be removing the sheeps, and there’s people that won’t be able to slaughter/farm them as they’re doing now.
I don’t like, licking ppl from doing what they want but… it’s somewhat necessary. Let’s see this thursday the amount of t5 players with less than 300 ships that will be farmed over and over and over and over ando ver…
You will NEVER stop people ‘Tier rushing’ as you call it - As the whole point of the game is to get to T5 (Aka End Game / Sector Conquest)
If players want to do that, and the game allows them to rush through the tiers - Then there is nothing you can do except kill them over and over to prove the point of why tier rushing isn’t a good idea
Agree wholeheartedly! The cap need not be draconian, but it should be enough that players are “encouraged” to try lots of ships and get a varied roster. Say… enough games for them to get an entire faction to Rank 6 before they can enter T3.
Licence pilots still get an advantage, because they can level more ships in that time (or get more to Elite status).

I would say 100 games until start T3 - but would be hard to argue
Actually 100 games per tier is a pretty decent number, I mean, you actually need plenty of hours in order to know and understand something (unless you’re a robot, a genius or a magical being), like idk, real life pilots, or an university career, or anything for the matter.
I’ve seen people with under 100 matches and less than 900 Skill Rating (in some cases, less than 800) playing T5 (I were with T4s), and that’s just wrong in so many levels, they don’t even know how to play and what to do, was a constant “respawn -> blown to Hell -> respawn -> blown to Valhalla -> respawn -> blown to Nirvana” until the match is over.
What I would like to see is a change on the Combat Recon game mode, the captain of the game should be a volunteer, and if more than 1 ppl is volunteer then the system chooses, if no one is volunteer the system chooses too.
I want this because most of the cases if you have 11 t3 guys and 1 t2, the t2 will be the freaking captain lol. I would volunteer every single game if no one wanted, tbh.
Captain should always be picked from among the top 2 ranks present in the game. If you have a Rank 12, Rank 2 and Rank 4 ship equipped and you get picked as Captain, you don’t get to choose your ship - you are locked into the Rank 12.
Also, Captains should have suicide modules and Abandon Ship functionality disabled.

Imagine a guy with R12 LRF, R12 Tackler and R10 ECM
What? Seriously, that’s wrong on so many levels. The only time you shouldn’t get a choice in what ship you fly is in capture the beacons because the others were blown up. If hypothetically I had three T4 LRF’s and a T2 ECM in my slots, I might be better off with the ECM!
How about using achievements and or Titles as an requirement before advancing to T4 ? There seems to be a consensus that T1-3 is considered training tiers. For some of those achievements you do have to know some things about the game.
For example you had to accumulate XXX points in beacon capture. You have to have achieved X number of Capt survival awards…etc…
Also there should be a highlighted flashing RED screen for anyone for picking an LRF as an Capt in Combat Recon. ASKING ARE YOU SURE

some people are almost never captain, like me. that medal is unfeasable. as for beacon medals, its biased against frigate pilots

Some players need to have that forced upon them. They aren’t learning anything in T1 or T2 beyond what buttons to press. Letting them tier rush is damaging the experience of everyone else.

One thing is grinding synergy or farming credits, another very different thing is to take the necessary time to learn how the game is. There’s a lot of ppl leveling their ships only in PvE, and when they go to PvP the are outperformed, continously killed, and I’m pretty sure that doesn’t make them happy and only prolongs their stay in PvE.
If someone doesn’t want to take their time and learn how the game goes, well, that’s a problem of that person alone.
