Make spatial scanner craftable

Make spatial scanner craftable so people who don’t have or don’t want to invest GS can obtain it.

Make it cost 20 monocrystals or more and other resources to craft it.

This way people can choose to invest GS or (time, resources)  to get the spatial scanner.

This propably will never happen, but you never know :001j:

The average rate for getting Crystals is around 1000 gs per 10 crystals so 50-60 crystals per spatial scanner would be balanced.

yes pls

+1 even though it will probably never happen.

Just like crews.

Well, to break the p2w model it should be obtainable in 1 month for a mid-range f2p pilot. or about 10 days to 2 weeks for someone who plays 5+ hours a day.
So, 30x2(non-premium) = 60 for tier 5.

and 20 to 25x2 for tier 4 = 40 to 50

and 15x2 = 30 for tier 3. Or even 20, because tier 3 ships are not allowed in certain zones, so the scanner there should be cheap and as a help for the newbies to get the resources and loot they need

Did you know, that even, if you bought a Spatial Scanner, you can buy one again?

Did you know, that even, if you bought a Spatial Scanner, it has the sale price, even if it cannot be sold?

Developers want $$$, so you can cleary dismiss an idea, such as this.

Without Spatial Scanner, chance of getting the rare loot is reduced by 99%, especially for those Myserious Containers.

Game is P2W more than ever before. If it’s not that, it’s clearly pay to grind less, without any doubt.

Alternative must be an option, like the one I described in my topic here:

Koro, the whole business model of this kind of games is “pay to grind less” or “pay to get things faster” and it loves people like you that can’t wait till they have EVERYTHING in the game.

But not everyone wants that.

Just so everyone knows, enhanced scanners are much better.

It was a waste of GS for me to have purchased the GS scanner.

You know they do completely different things, right? GS scanner gives 7% more crit chance (at least the t5 one) and acts as an invasion loot metal-detector, and enhanced scanner increases sensor range.

Exactly. There is no aspect of this game that is P2W. Premium ships do not make you a better player, as they are only slightly better, or sometimes not as good, as their standard counterparts. The spatial scanner does not help you win battles. Crews do not help you improve your skills (so on and so forth). The only thing that makes you win games is your skill as a player and your teamwork with other players. These things help you progress, and can better your ships, but that does not guarantee you wins. Unless they come up with a way that you can pay to alter your mind so that you suddenly become a more skilled player, this game will never be pay to win. The game does have pay-to-progress-faster or pay-to-grind-less, but that is not pay to win. If you could have alternatives to all the GS-purchased items in this game, the company would make no profit. Like, Eviscerador said, the company makes money off of people who are unwilling to grind/too impatient to spend the time to progress. Unfortunately, if you don’t have enough money, or don’t care to spend money on this game, you will progress slower, that is the nature of the beast.

Winning in this game is winning pvp/seccon/pve games, which is determined by player skill and teamwork. A player could purchase every single premium ship, DLC, and GS purchase in the game and still perform the same as they would without.

In what way do any of these things guarantee you to win a game?

The only way to win a game is to be good/use teamwork, better modules do improve your ship, but a skilled player running an all-white ship could easily take on a player in an all-purp/red ship who isn’t very skilled.

Like I said earlier, none of the things you can buy automatically guarantee you will win a game.

a skilled player running an all-white ship could easily take on a player in an all-purp/red ship who isn’t very skilled.

Yeah, that anecdote is old news. What about players that aren’t dumber than bricks, eh?

An athletes’ potential is limited by their body. They may know exactly what to do, but if they have injured their knee, they won’t be able to perform at their best and will probably not earn a medal. Here in the game world, our body is our ships. Gear ALWAYS matters. Otherwise there would be no point to spending hours upon hours upgrading. And in smaller matches, it DOES mean the difference between a victory and a defeat.

So don’t try to spoon-feed me that garbage that an all-white ship can take on a full purple/orange ship. That doesn’t happen. Unless you’re fighting bongo62.

I agree, there are certain instances where gear does matter, but getting up to all purple is fairly easy to do without paying GS. Mk 5 modules only offer a slight increase to mk 4. I have killed my fair share of pilots in seccon who are runnin all-purp ships in my green/white ships. Gear does help, I’m not saying that it doesn’t, I’m just saying that it isn’t pay to win.

i like it. required resources must be much higher. scanner costs a lot of money :fed001:

Why are you so dense.

Of course, bad players will be bad. I’m wanting to see what are you going to say when you have your full purple ship and still loses matches.

Do you know that people who are playing with full purple ships had to start with white ships? and they leveled them. and they upgraded their modules, and now they have a small advantage.

But that is not pay to win. Your problem is that you don’t grasp the concept of pay 2 win.

Pay to win is buying with gold a MK6 ion emmiter with +15% damage which you can’t get with credits in game. That doesn’t happen in this game.

Spatial scanner? you won’t find anything with it you can’t find without it. Of course without the scanner, it will take more time. But other than that…

Crews? the same, they don’t give you more implants, or better bonuses. They give you the opportunity to max several ships at the same time. But 99% of the time, you will be flying one ship only, so it doesn’t matter. And certainly, you need to be really good to feel the difference with another set of implants.

Alright, when was the last time you ran across a mysterious container without using a spatial scanner? You know, the ones that are cloaked unless you get within 200 meters? The ones that are more likely to contain rare blueprints? Because for all my looking, I have yet to come across a single one using the ‘free’ method. Although I did have a T3 ship fly right up next to me and viola! one appeared. That was really weird. Too bad he was under station protection.

How is denying players the ability to “max several ships at the same time” unless they pay money anything but pay-to-win? According to your own definition, this falls into that category, as it is a boost to a player’s power that can only be obtained with a real-money transaction.

And as far as my own skill as a pilot? Nice red herring/ad hominem attack.

Yesterday I found one while killing another player in Barter zone. Pure luck. But it only had a fuel sensor inside so…

Crews don’t make your ship better, they just allow you to choose between different ships with different roles all of them maxed. But since you can only FLY one ship, there is no difference with having a single crew. It is not that hard. Your ship will have the same benefits than any other non multiple crewed ship.

In fact you can fly most of the ships of this game with a single set of implants at peak efficiency.

Crews would be P2W if, for example, having a crew will give you 50% boost to all implant bonuses, and you could only get that with gold.

THAT is P2W.

Finally, I’m not attacking you, I don’t care what your skill level is, but if you think these options can give you an edge in battle, then you still have a long way to walk.

That’s why it should be obtainable by everyone, players who don’t buy a spatial scanner cannot find a mysterious “cloacked” container.

The craftable scanner can be of lesser range than the GS one and don’t give any bonusses.

  1. yes they can, if you know the location of the container (where you got that information is different story) you will find the container

  2. “hidden” containers are pretty much identical to Alien Stashes that are visible to everyone.
