Make spatial scanner craftable

You know they do completely different things, right? GS scanner gives 7% more crit chance (at least the t5 one) and acts as an invasion loot metal-detector, and enhanced scanner increases sensor range.

Actually, it is only a 5% gain because enhaned scanner has 2% already.

It evens out to about 3.75 more damage (plasma weapons). Meaningful, but not enough.

Spatial requires me to annoyingly press a key over and frikkin over.

If memory serves the scanner display didn’t change orentation with my ship so it works on one access only.

Enhanced scanners increate the range in which you can see objectives on HUD.

They increase the range in which you can see loot in LOS. Loot within scanner range pulses.

Because of enhanced scanner I am able to complete objectives in 30% ~ 40% of the time. Of course a complete esimation. Objectives are the only reason I log into invasion.

The game can keep it’s annoying red blip, I’d rather have the GS.

That said spatial scanner should be craftable so people don’t waste GS on it.

The whole point of making things available for GS purchase is to give the company profit. If everything could be made free, the company would make no money on this game, and it would have to be taken down. The enhanced scanner gives 2% crit chance, and the spatial scanner gives 7%, resulting in 9% additional crit chance (provided you use both) which is almost as much as one infrared, which does make a decent raise in calculated DPS. Like Kost said, you don’t need a spatial scanner to find mysterious containers. Simply learn where they are, it is what I did for the longest time until I decided to spend a bit of money on the game and buy one.

The spatial scanner should stay as a GS purchase as it makes it easier to farm resources, which is something that could be done with GS (buying contraband containers or other containers). Also, it is not a “waste” of GS to buy the spatial scanner. It is definitely worth the investment, as all the loot I have found combined is worth far more than what I spent on the spatial scanner while using it. Keeping the spatial scanner as a GS purchase holds the phrase “pay-to-progress-faster” true, it doesn’t make it P2W.

It is not P2W for sure, because the increase between purple and orange is puny. But I still remember times when I survive on 20/8000 hp and in case it was higher mark I would’ve been dead.
About “pro” player can do well in white vs full purple “bricks” - not in 2v2 or 3v3 games, no. 3 full purple vs 2 purple and 1 white is big difference.

Gear matters… Skill matters… Area where you live and your computer matters… Don’t tell me that it doesnt because it does. Every little bit matters.

Crews allow you to fine-tune each ship allowing you to optimize more than the non paying customer. In SecCon that is a large advantage.

+1

I paid GS for the ones I have so NO !      :004j:

I never said gear didn’t matter, or where you live/your computer doesn’t matter. I’m just saying theses GS purchases are not P2W, as they do not guarantee you a victory. Sure, they give you a slight advantage, but it isn’t the guaranteed difference between victory and defeat.
