The visible bomb was a minor error. The cloak bomb carriers were minor errors… You see where I’m going with this, right?

This still isn’t as bad as the cargo ship graphic bug.  But this should have still been caught before releasing it.  It’s obvious enough when trying to kill someone.

Why looks so far? The sensei sticker being unavailable except via a player found workaround is a minor error. Wonder when that will get fixed…

Id like to wiegh in on this too. When intense graphical effects are present in a scene the cursor ( or aiming reticle ) can be impossible to locate. Making  this cursor (or aiming reticle) much more visible would be a big help.

Think there should be option to chose between old and new model.I play on big 32inch screen and sometime is hard to know where your ship is centered. miss the old (  ) in center.

Customizable reticle wouldn’t be an unreasonable request, either.

 

An aspect in a shoot-em-up game as fundamental as aiming needs to work effectively and without problems. Inability to see your reticle is a problem that should be addressed immediately.

In fact, if players have concerns regarding something as fundamental as aiming, it should be considered with very little hesitation and addressed within the shortest possible time.

I find it profoundly dumb that something as fundamental as aiming doesn’t take precedence over everything else, apart from a few things such as manoeuvring, being able to log in, being able to shoot etc. (cough, coil mortar, splutter) 

 

Sad to see this thread has been up since May. Aside from last week’s patch, which I’m not grateful for, I don’t think I’ve seen any changes regarding the reticle.

Considering how long it took to get ship customization options other than stickers?..

The only way they are going to add in Reticule Customization in a timely fashion is if they can make money off of it. Face it…this is a F2P game, so if they can’t make money off of it then they are in no hurry.

The issue:

I did not had this difficulty before as much as I have now this week.

With the new pointer I many times think i am hitting the target and then I see that not and I even overheated my weapons.

This happens often when there is too much chaos on the center of my screen. The target prediction is much more noticeable than my own aim. That one I am able to keep track of, but I many times don’t notice that I am overheating or that my mouse is not in top of the target.

Add to the chaos the fact that our aim is very transparent and we are rotating our camera in all directions, and with planets on the background etc.

 

Some extra info:

I know that some persons really are playing in top of their screens and might not feel this as myself, I try to sit straight and keep the comfortable distance of 75-100 cm from the screen. (21.5" wide screen)

Tell me what stands out more to you, the actual mouse aim or the target aim? Yes you can identify where the true aim is, but this is a stable picture and you maybe closer

 

 

Suggestion for the Devs

Take inspiration in older FPS games in which the aim was really important and allowed to the players 4 options: 1-reticle icon, 2-reticle size, 3-reticle color, 4- reticle transparency. Would be great if such was possible, everyone could adjust to their preference/comfort.

What are you talking about? The current reticle is EXACTLY what we all requested.

The the “Practice battle” tutorial.  There are parts of the Thar map that the reticle is invisible.

I wish the tutorial mission gave medals :frowning: I had 25 kills and the maxed amount of kills within 15 second intervals but didn’t really receive the medals :frowning:

 

And yeah, I’m sure the aim gets fixed next week again.

My first match was a PvP Thar map.  It wasn’t fun for anyone with this reticle.

That is a terible Guard and you should be ashamed of yourself.

What is wrong with that guard? o.O Not the actives I would have chosen, but a good one nontheless.

What’s wrong with it?  Standard pulsar and missile shield.  Blue signature masking, purple emergency shield booster.  I’m fitted for resists and not shields so the booster can do half my shields in either seconds.  The mass propulsion inhibitor would probably help plasma arcs more than help my team, it just doesn’t have good range.  That slot I just don’t have a good feel for what should be there other than self heals.  Coil mortars are good for defending an area and torpedoes are good for defending me.  I’ve only got a few long range torpedo kills, one was an LRF.

 

Synergy level 6, 64k survivability.  As for active module use, I just did the tutorial for a screenshot.  Suggestions?
