My Jericho guard had 6 frigging laser beams, that’s how it was!
I played in 7.8(So I go quite far back)
So I know of that kind of thing, as well as ships not having roles, and the good old loyalty system…Oh how I miss that system…Oeh and ship tree! It was so awesome D:
I do this A LOT, as well. All I hear is friendly Frigates going apeshit on me cause I’m going ahead in the field. I’m actually forcing our lines forward so the offensive gets a little support and this is how I’m repaid? By getting called names? F*** you. At least I’m not a cowardly mut that hides at the end of the xxxx’ world to be killed by a lone Recon.
By forcing the lines forward, you’re actually pushing ALL your ships into supporting and helping eachother.
“The best defence is a good offence.”
I don’t hide back away. I had a 5v5 last week, all randoms. I pushed forward, two third of the way from spawn to them. Me and two guys were sitting there waiting. Two guys had just respawned and went to the middle of the map. I had chosen USA server, “regroup!” Then one sent a message to everyone, “let’s the four of us just go kill the captain.” Less than ten seconds later, the other captain was dead. After two more fell to help ensure a win, I went in and got a kill before the end of the match. Nothing like the teamwork of a bunch of random players to give faith in the game.
People don’t complain like they used to, they know now. Too many still hide off the map, but people don’t complain when the captain goes forward.
I know nothing of such heresy. Friggin laser beams is what it had!

There’s your heresy
Perhaps a module that wreaks havoc on sensor ranges? Would make it more beneficial to be more mobile on an ECM if you could place a sensor debuff within the vicinity of LRF or any ships fitted to snipe, and force them to either fight blind or relocate. Technically it would be an Electronic Counter Measure…
Corentin that would be completely and utterly useless. Since LRF don’t need sensor range to spot enemies, since friendly sensor range is already in range of the enemies.
that would be OP actually because sensors affect the targeting box. if you jammed sensors, every enemy on the field would be unhittable unless you fitted lazers if you had enough ECMs to spam them.
I just got the extreme response from both ends of the spectrum… Back to the drawing board…

coz funky assumed ppl would only jam the LRF. if I jammed his scouts then the LRF will be blind as well.
and higher up the tier where siege conflict is more frequent, the ECM would really only need to focus on a small area to work on. It’s OP.
recon with 11k range would solve it but expect to see the forum flooded with moans by T1 / T2 pilots. Or even T5’s who consistently play small skirmishes and cannot spare the space for a recon on their squad lineup.
now now kine, don’t say like I didn’t think of that.
I just reacted to him talking about it being an anti-LRF module.
I was actually thinking more like a micro-locators but only doing the opposite… like a high-density Minovsky particle field.
Recon is op. how many times must I say that Recon is the anti ECM? use those proximity mines to your advantage.
(that being said, recon is not over powered. I’m just using OP in the sense that it’s very efficient.)
what if stasis generator made the target invulnerable? sort of like wraping them in the cacoon from metastable generator. Add a debuff so they have no energy, sheild, or hull regneration (maybe even make it so modules on cooldown dont cooldown during the stasis), then increase the duration. Basicly make it not about having an easy target but more about taking someone out of the fight for a while. wouldnt help in a 1v1, but it would turn a 2v2 into a 2v1 followed by aother 2v1, could stasis someone on your tail to give you time to get away, or time for teamates to catch up.
as a side note i kinda think metastable generator needs something, it makes the inty very vulnerable right when it finishes. I think either its invulnerability should last just a little bit (.5 to 1 sec) after its finished to let you start moving again, or have a variably length that you can triger manualy (so enemies cant just fire a missile right before it finishes)
About 75-80% of my deaths are because of it… and people PM me back for being a coward when they need that to actually make a kill… really?
Let’s put things in perspective.
if normal weapons are unable to kill interceptors, and the only answers to interceptors are:
guaranteed damage effects (always-hit-u missiles, lock-on-press-button-damage-target modules, AOE effects)
hard lockdown (preferably combined with the above)
than these things are necessary for the interceptor players to actually die.

Good luck killing the pros. Note to self: Practice
Positrons most certainly can hit them
