The limitation on weapons is no more ?
Players will be on different teams allowing you to target half of the other participants. Of course it’s not perfect but at least all participants are not on the same team with no targeting at all. I will add you to the roster when I get a chance to get on a comp. On iPod.

We tried the concept yesterday with Efefay and Kratos (who was nice enough to spend some time with us). The concept is fun.
Having an ECM freeze you as you try to go quickly around that enemy beacon with 4 drones is nice… Setting mine for ambush is not easy as ships can take many different trajectories. I still think that a good/clever coverop could try to axeplasma a lot of people right after start, when a lot of people are gathered together behind the might ruler… Recon micro-warp is not a tremendous asset as the way is not open space for most of the part.
But fun it should be :lol:

I think any interaction other than bumping into others should be prohibited. No weapon shots, no skills used (on each other).

Clean races can be fun, but I’ll agree with Kine here. SC doesn’t have enough mechanics to support clean races.

Yeah, but then it becomes Carmageddon, not a space shooter.

Well, Carmageddon was not a racing game, there was only one map where it made any sense to actually go around. We have all the other modes to pew pew at each other. Like Carmageddon was such a great game, because all the other games with cars were racing games. Here every mode is kill each other mode, except this.
Since you need people for this I will like to participate in this project.

Place a mine near your enemy beacon. Enemies will pass close to it for protection. Better chance of scoring a hit. Anyways just do the chase style. slow down, let them tail you and drop that johnson on their face.
