This is not supported by the developers like Underground Tournament is.
If the reviews of the participants are good and we have some awesome looking videos maybe the developers will dish out the goods at a later racing event.
Right now this event is to test out the concept with many people and it’s also for fun.
The end purpose for this event is to ultimately turn it into a game mode that is available at T3. It should be added when the player population spikes. Anyways I don’t know how to put this in MM. I have a rudimentary idea but it is for the developers to figure out if they decide to implement this.

Only 2 people came to race. Noobtrain1 and Noirlotus. They will be given 2 extra points at the race. New race date is on May June the 5th 6th, 2014 at 4:30 EST.
I decided to avoid plasma arc at the beginning as we were only 2. But a little plasma web is good to put some pressure on noobtrain, as he will face enemy drones. He MW at the beginning but got some damages and must have made a mistake as I take the lead at the middle of the race. On the 2nd part, I take very large because in this part of the race, the 2 last beacons are in 2 very narrow places and my limited survivability allow me to deal with only one. Win for me !!
2nd race : Pandora
Noobtrain makes a perfect start with a MW that leads him directly behind A, I won’t see him before the finish line, nothing to add.
3rd race : Devil’s Jaw
We were supposed to just swith sides for the 3rd race but efefay chose the wrong map. This map is more open and less easy for recons as there is no great open space to MW. So this gives me a good opprtunity to use my weapons. I plasmaweb at the start, want to put a little plasma arc but mistype and activate orion, then plasma arc (but too late). Nevertheless, noobtrain takes some nice shrapnel shots, he lets me take the lead, try some shots that I avoid. On the last beacons, he is faster than me but a little plasmaweb puts an early end to his ship and to the race.

To avoid taking too much damage, noobtrain tried to MW at the beginning and met an asteroid …

HAHAHAHAH that was fun! We will race again :yes_yes: i never knew that u could gain on me that fast loool. I thought i would win for sure.
K I will add that to the rule later. Btw rank 7 recon vs rank 9 covop is pretty balanced. Not going to add that to the rules though. So far matches have been sprints. In the next event(not this rescheduled one) it will be a circuit. Have no idea how I could keep track of multiple players through many laps. Any ideas?
Well, as you discovered, I could not attend the race yesterday. But I think I should be able to attend the one on friday, the 5th of JUNE (not May Efefay :)wt ).

(And, btw, some “old” players have modules that are not available anymore, like submatter shield and light plating that, on a Saï, allow it to get to 700 m/s without needing to add engine modules. So, yes, balancing the game will be hard…)
