Yes, I admit I was talking perfect world. In the current game reality you’re just as likely to ram yourself to death against a rock with no enemy even near. :stuck_out_tongue:

A squad with ECM and interceptor or gunship determined on killing you will also kill you if you’re solo without heals. But that’s about it.

I use Flares but, lacking that in the current gameplay, Shield Booster or Armour Rep.

I religiously use WNJ

also handy when GettingTFO on top of being another stun tool while going up against frigs.

Well, true Kine, but limiting 1 ship from locking you doesn’t do the trick for me since i can outmaneuver or dodge 1 guy pretty effectively OR i am being chased down by half the enemy team in which case it’s pretty useless; not to mention the current lack in targeting options we have so you disable that specific ship you’re interested in out of a group you’re running from with your back at them.

That’s me at least. I’d gladly take tips on properly using them and might change my opinions.

most peeps save their missiles as a finishing move. without lockons you would’ve bought your ally a few precious seconds to warp gate or kill off one of his attackers. ideally the DPS guy.

 

for me; while evading and when clearly have lost a duel but not yet dead, I WNJ the opponent to run safe in the knowledge no homing missile / speed debuff will come after me. Camo/Flare does the same thing but WNJ is more functional. Also works while baiting in CR. Guy who might try to run you down might not be the problem but the frig behind him could be. So I WNJ that frig so he can’t octupus/snipe/drone me while I work on the victim.

WNJ shuts an ECM down long enough to kill him even if he goes metastasis in between. There’s absolutely no reason not to fit that module over anything else you have available. It’s probably the most useful module a cov ops has.

It’s also Electronic Counter Measure, not Covert Ops.

They work for me but are very weak. Swift Eagle has only 7,1k EHP. so it might be a bit suicidal for some folks.

Both ships can sustain energy (its quite good on both with passive armor), but the weapon is weak on the swift, why i mostly rely on missiles for kills -.-

 

Oh, I can. First battle today with the Swift:12v12, 13 Kills, 7 Assists 2 caps (was capture the beacon) and “Fear me”. Speed is 695 with afterburner 540 without (still faster than more or less ANY ECM (lol)).  

 

So, best armor is to fly like you want to have a seizure.  :crazy:

there is no way of fixing energy on Spirit, its just  :facepalm: i use it because only Jericho Inty i have is Ricasso, and Kris AE 10x better than Spirit. At Least this one works pretty well as defencive support build, just have to constantly watch energy and time AB for activating shield tanking well (its actually fun and keeps me entertained :)).

I’ll see if I can share my ECM fit when I get home, today. It has a few corp secrets in it, so I might not be able to share it outright, lol

Spirit has no customization. It’s a choice between 2 builds. One that uses the ambiguous adaptive shield and the one that doesn’t. One that doesn’t - tanks at 16k survivability you can see at the cost of maneuverability.

Still twice as much hp as any other Ceptor, though. More than most Fighters, actually.
