Interceptor Guide

ECM = Assault Plasma is for trench fights, I love having an extra range. But i guess shrapnel will work there, too.

I never got the Lazor working for me… Im really interested in a working PL build.

JP PRO TIP

White Noise Jammer is pure hell for ECMs. Remember they rely on other members to make the kill while you cannot retaliate. Use that to your advantage

I hate plasma web more

as for pulse lazors - I hate using them but at the same time, I get killed by it more than half the time when versus inties.

Ask and you will receive. Remind me tonight on Teamspeak, I’ll be around after doing some work first for a few hours.

Do not ram a guard without a collision compensator.

awww i remember old days where it was possible to ram a Jericho Frigs to death in single collision on an interceptors… fun fun fun

How much debate was there when it got changed…

Will a Jericho ECM ship fitted primarily with shield resistances and not so much speed be successful?I understand that generally all Interceptors are defined by speed and mobility, but will making a hardy ECM with Plasma Guns, Shield Resistances, and Regeneration negatively impact the ship to a point where it will be more of a detriment to the team? I ask because I am getting closer to owning my first T3 Interceptor soon, and my general play style on my current ECM is to find the Engineer and guard it, or stay back until a priority target gets near, and then lock it down for others to deal the damage. If my play style is completely wrong, please let me know because I’d rather not step into a new tier and ruin other peoples’ matches with a ship that can’t pull its own weight. It works in T2 to an extent, but T2 is really just a giant dogfight where matches are won by the people who actually pay attention to the game mode they’re in…

It’s ok Corentin. My side of viewing it is that your power is in the debuffs, not killing power as an ECM. So you stay alive and debuff. The occasional kill is something else. I’m even flying the Ricasso cov ops with more tank and utility crap than speed and it isn’t that flimsy (provided you know what you’re doing).

Hey, here is a link to a guide on russian forums, made by a very good pilot (atleast he use to be, havent met him in awhile)

http://forum.star-conflict.ru/index.php?/topic/35555-%D0%B3%D0%B0%D0%B9%D0%B4-%D0%BF%D0%BE-%D0%BF%D0%B5%D1%80%D0%B5%D1%85%D0%B2%D0%B0%D1%82%D1%87%D0%B8%D0%BA%D0%B0%D0%BC-by-timenius/

its all in russians and it is 0.8.x, but actives and passives still stands (same for stats) its only weapons and missiles that you will have to work your self out.

I personally fit for mobility all of my interceptors, but it is common to fit for survivability, there are some screenshots on page 3 (in this english thread)

Sorry for being so quite guys; My computer has been having troubles. (freezes, hard drive issues, etc.)

Anyways, keep writing and bringing up comments about modules, tactics, ships, etc. by the time this game releases I want to see 20+ pages from you guys.

I will do my part soon enough.

Its very hard to find a good build for Inties right now, I only have 1 or maybe 2 which are worth to share.

New Patch is incoming, so I´ll wait till later.

I’m in exactly the same position.

My Kris-AE fit seems to work very well. I’m still struggling on the Ricasso, but I’ll get there. Last I hears, Snib was working on the Swarm, as well.

I gave up on Ricasso in T3, think it’s worth trying it out again after the general speed nerf? Did it actually get better or worse after 094? Didn’t test it.

Idk, I still have some testing to do, I’m either sacrificing heavily on speed or survivability… Still need to test a few things out…

No work to do. Swarm is nice, just too slow to catch up with full speed fit federation interceptors even while they carry a bomb.

I flew it as a heavy interceptor with 12.5k survivability rivaling fighters in its tier.

I also ran it with triple regenerative coatings which makes its hull regen 60% faster than its shields, that’s awesome in randoms where you tend to go without heals and lets you comfortably tank 2 guard drones on hull. That regen fit can get you killed by a Kris AE though which won’t happen with the full hull tank… On the other hand, since the regen fit allows you to take hull damage though you can get closer to things that hurt (self-destruct, mines) and shred the enemies with shrapnel from point-blank, which isn’t so good with the heavy fit since you have to keep more range. Go with another weapon there (they all work).

Stopped playing it though since my current project is to die as often as possible and you just cannot really die in a Swarm Recon unless you try hard.

Or lag.

JP never reveals his builds, even to other members of his corp.

I see i’m not alone in keeping secrecy surrounding builds

About active mod usage, what do you guys usually do on cov ops - use all possible to kill a target or limit to 1 per target? Or depending a lot more on the situation at hand?

Just asking cuz i want to try a 1 per target tactic sometime after exams.

Use Orion to your abandon. Plasma Arc on specific targets, I fail to see why it should be used on godamned everything… Cloak for obvious reasons. White Noise doesn’t belong there. SD for sissies.
