I don’t know about you guys, but I sure do miss the old gunship. The 8 second overdrive with a 40 second recharge (Same recharge as CO Orion which does 130%+ dps vs a gunships 50% rof) leaves me feeling underwhelmed when trying to bring down a well built guard. 8 seconds is just too short, and it is very offset with the critical bonus recharge and activation time which is frustrating.
Could we get the old 12 or even 15 seconds of overcharge glory back? I used to see enemy guards and be like:

Well, i think it’s good, that you can’t just go guns blazing at a guard and kill them alone with your overdrive. Guards are supposed to be tanky, and there are enough ways to counter them.
I like increased rof of overcharge, but the decreased duration. Now you can use it more often.

I think it was fair (especially comparing it to Cov ops dps is nearly 3 times as high when in their respective damage states. The gunship overdrive is only 3 seconds longer than the orion module…). Gunships are supposed to be the king of DPS no? Then why do cov ops melt everything much faster than a gunship? If you use RFB, piercing missiles, and plasma arc on a CO you can kill any ship in seconds. Gunships can still kill fairly fast, but nowhere near as effectively and as a cov ops (which can also “cloak” and are hard to hit because of size).
Just doesn’t seem fair at all… 4 guns dedicated damage ship gets out dpsed by a 2 gun speedy devil that can “cloak” as well.
Not necessarily. Most good guard builds have over 100 resists across the board. I know mine do.
really? I’m talking about the guard’s special ability and you tell me i’m wrong because you have high resists? Does the guard’s special ability just stop working when you have high resists or does it still block against one type of damage at any time?

Resists: Thermal ~ 120, Kinetic ~ 110, EM -40
Then i run shield on EM as default -> EM 110
Each resistance on over 100.
Signature Masking or Multiphase Shield Adapter.
Emergency Shield Boost.
Almost invulnerable for 16 seconds.
Special module: +150 resist for the actual setting
If you receive any kind of that damage you have a damage boost of 25% for 5 seconds.
My HB have around 4000 Dps, then 5000, +torpedos & invulnerabilty…

The only three possibilities here are that you wanted to bate yourself, that english isn’t your first language and you’re from somewhere that has the wrong method of thinking, or you’re just dumb. I’m leaning towards the first two as germans have a bad habit of pushing the superiority thing and starting wars they can’t win for the wrong reasons.
