There are no balance rules for sec con. If there are more russian players in a match you will be put on a russian server, like every other game mode. Heck if there are 5 south asia players and 3 europe players then you will have the joy of playing on a south asia server

I’m well aware of that, and that is completely fair. What I am saying is unfair is that when it is a 50/50 split (or relatively close to 50/50) between RU players and some other region, the game always goes with RU. This is what is unfair. It should pick the other region half of the time, and RU the other half, not RU every time (from my experiences, I have never played against them in Eu or Us servers). I wouldn’t complain about this as much if the RU servers were playable for the rest of the world, but 90% of games Inget on RU servers I have well over 200 ping and at least 5-10% loss
O.K., I have to ask, but why does the “timing” matter for MM? I think that’s the biggest issue here, aside of giving premium ships -1 Rank matchmaking, which does not make much sense in this game format, either.
For example, I like to squad with my wife from T2-T3 for PvP… why no T4 or T5 most of the time?.. because the game takes SOOO long to match us with anybody most of the time. Even then, sometimes we have to wait over 4 minutes for a match while the average wait is at or under 1 minute. How are we being forced to wait for a game if 3-4 games in our Tier have already been started? That makes literally no sense. This whole “good” versus “bad” players differentiation should not be made anyway, it just means that you get punished for playing better, and half the time you get placed on completely lopsided teams of organic bots anyway… why should we have to wait for that when we could just be placed in games with random players with random skill levels?
What we are then forced to do is basically leave the queue and re-enter the queue in the hopes of getting a match either instantly or 2 minutes later, because the few times we have tried just sitting in queue during “off” times, we had to wait for over 10 minutes before giving-up and just playing solo at higher tiers. If we re-queue every 3-4 minutes (if we don’t get a match), we get matches faster. Why would a player just entering the queue get matched faster than somebody who has been waiting longer, especially if it’s the SAME players who were just waiting a long time and then simply left and re-entered at the back of the line? Is the back of the line being treated as the front of the line, or is the MM a chauvinistic bouncer who only talks to all the pretty girls in the line while I’m just not that pretty (nor a girl)?

Spot on analysis. And good questions. I’m not sure anyone is really aware how it’s set up anymore. It almost feels like MM too complicated now to understand or explain. IMO a new simpler system needs to be built from scratch, tested, and implemented.
