This system has no functionality and it is flawed in what it is doing…whatever that may be.
What is is supposed to do? show skill? Show a good player? Show sportsmanship? Well it doesn’t.
People from the same corporation create groups and just vote on each other.
This makes the system anything but genuine and should be removed or modified into something else.

Don’t try to change the thread into that. I got some endorsement, it is useless still.
I’ve got a couple, but just from seeing squads upvote themselves and me getting nothing from matches I happen to dominate, I fail to see the legitimacy.
Im going to try and start a trend here: Ally medals dont matter, its the worthy opponent ones we should look at.

Maybe make it to where you can only endorse opposing team?
I mean it’s nice when someone on your side honestly feels you aided the cause, but if it’s abused then it makes it worthless.
side note: I saw a guy today with fleet strength 1 , with 0 battles asking what corps and squads were and he had 3 starbook likes. how would this happen?

Just remove the ability to upvote people in your squad and it’ll be fine.

ha to be completely honest everyone on my team will vote for me and im always hoping one guy JUST ONE from the other team votes me I vote the other teams highest or best player in my opinion about ever 3-4 games depending on if I win or lose
It’d be far more useful if you could downvote the idiots who fly engi with heals turned off, or the people who suicide trying to kill a cap alone with eight ships guarding him.

PvE doesn’t increase your battle count.

I went back to T2 for some grinding, and in one match I found the only engineer with heals so far away he wasn’t on the map. He was sitting next to an LRF to farm buf assists.
Sometimes I want friendly fire enabled in PvP.

I remember this one time, I saw an Engineer SITTING on our spawn. With active heals, might I add. NO ONE was around him. His excuse: “I’m assisting with heals.” He had 0 points after 10 minutes in a game of Recon.
“Only enemy endorsement” means that if same corp players end up in opposing sides they would endorse each other, again inflating the system.
QUICK fix would be to deny endorsing own corporation mates and players in same squad.
This would still leave friends that are not in same corporation or not in a corporation and happen to be in same game, but it would definitely cut the inflation of the endorsement system a lot.

2nd that, although it will be abused like it was in the forum here when there were downvotes.
Besides that the upvotes don’t do anything (yet). It is questionable how you would decide someone to upvote? If go by efficiency or by kills, well that is already on the score board why not just use this and add it to the pilot profile.
After a match do you remember who was really good, who helped you or had you a hard time killing? That is really rarely the case (I’m terrible with names).
Truly giving someone an upvote who deserves it, is as likely as filling out the questionnaire after a support call of a product.
