In all seriousness… there are several arcade modes with viable strategies that involve a high risk of death, especially interceptors. I died 3 or 4 times in the process of a EMP match which I won. I had 1 of the plants and a few assists. My reward was 120k and my repair bill was over 190k… I do not see the risk outweighing the reward and I also don’t see any reason to play the T4 missions.
Please either increase the reward (by a lot!) or decrease the repair bill.
Yeah, even in tier 3 repair costs are a bit much. It comes to the point where the game rewards you for not dying and punishes you for playing objective and dying. Either playing the objective needs to net more reward, or the repair system needs re-working. I’d be tempted to say make repair costs a percentage of your winnings. That way your repair costs and profits stay proportional throughout the tiers.
But i think the game should remove repair payment, and descrease wining reward.
Look on to T4 game you will see that. All the player scare die and they stay behind or panic when clashing. Remove repair payment will make them more confidence to join battle.
Repair cost of T4 loses was decreased 2 patches ago. It was 100k for lose, 700k full. Now it is 60k for lose and 200k full. Seems fine for me! Remember that T4 is the endgame right now and here is the most skilled players actually. You are not forced to play T4 - it is hard. You can get your fun at t2-t3 for a few weeks-months before going T4. But there is exceptions happens too - some skilled players can actually play at t4 in few weeks after first login. For example Nazool - he is a great pilot!
Top1 ELO rated pilot even don’t have a license - he isn’t losing ships too much

If that’s the case, then I feel like the reward should be substantially greater to match the pilots skill. I’ve only played a couple of T4 matches, but my team won both of them and the highest reward I saw was 160k (with license, and I wasn’t on the bottom of the score chart either). Frankly this is only marginally better than T3.
Also the T3 queues are substantially shorter than T4; arguably because many players see that the risk is not worth the reward and are doing the same thing that I am doing and farming T3 with little to no reason to compete in T4. It’s fine to add in high risk components for end game, but when you do that you should at least make sure that the rewards match the risk. Seeing as the reward does not appear to be scaled with the repair cost, and the the devs announced in their recent Q&A that they have no intention of putting a market / exchange in place for players to auction their goods, I restate that I simply do not feel T4 is worth it and in fact hinders the natural progression of players to the next level. I am even more inclined to think that the Devs designed it this way intentionally to prevent “non-pay” players from actively participating in the T4 matches with the hopes of driving their premium ship sales (which we all hopefully know by know have a substantially lower repair cost).
I think I’m just going to keep bumping this thread every 24 hours or so…
I absolutely can not get the reward at T4 to rise any higher than about 180k, given that that will pay for only 3 deaths it’s bloody hard to make any money at all. I can get almost 180k on a T3 game if I really do well, and the repair cost even for a game where I died a lot will barely push 40k
Whether or not T4 is supposed to be like this to turn it into “end-game” content, it sucks all the fun out of the game, and if it isn’t fun, then why bother?
T4 games are a wasteland right now, largely dominated by ESB and SYN, and they just don’t have enough active members to fill out the games, so half of the enemies are bots anyway. I think we’d see a lot more people playing T4 if there was actually any reason to do so.
ATM I can earn more cash/hour by just farming T2 scenarios, which is just wrong.
It takes allot of deaths to do the objective in arcade… :\
I usually pay up to 40k repairs and earn 50k to 70k in rewards in tech 3 with an interceptor, not sure about a frigate as I normally defend objectives with those.
Like each death is 10k, and after 5 deaths its 65k MAX. Of course this will scale accordingly with the Teirs. This way you can die as much time as you want with out fear of having a repair bill HIGHER then the game reward.
I don’t think they really need to cap repair cost, after all: it’s there to stop people from playing over-recklessly. I think they’d be better just to follow their own damn patterns.
[with licence]
T1 gives you roughly 35K
T2 gives you roughly 70k
T3 gives you roughly 140k
T4 SHOULD give you roughly 280k (currently around 170k )
Now that by itself would make a BIG difference. But really it’s the exorbitant repair costs that are the problem since they don’t scale properly with the rewards, I got these figures by playing games and ensuring I died only once in a frigate at the the top of their respective tiers. I confess I’m not sure if the rank/class of your ship has an effect
T1 ships cost 2550 to repair (rank 3 frigate)
T2 ships cost 10435 to repair (rank 6 frigate)
T3 Ships cost 16609 to repair (rank 9 frigate)
T4 Ships cost 63191 to repair (rank 12 frigate)
There’s nothing left to say, except perhaps: What the actual xxxx?
