Tonight, me and some corp mates queued t3. we got 2 matches and then it went dead due to rqers. I suggest that instead of making us sit and wait forever, u let our squads vs each other. It’s not like we’re gonna purposefully throw the game or something. if anything, it makes the competition harder.
If you want to fight your own, make the leader of one squad leave corp temporarily - that should do the trick for you. Invite them back after you’re done with the matches
The system is fine as it is

While useful, I find that method would be demeaning to the corp member.
Anyways, there’s a reason we signed an agreement to fight our corp members if we see them.
I say allow us to fight our corporation squads.

If a cheap trick allows to cheat the system, why bother with a rules in the beginning?

Whats ‘cheap’ about this ‘trick’?

Why exactly?
Easy to cheat by removing your tag. It’s cheap to me.
You merely gain an ability to fight your corp squads… yeah that sounds like cheating

The system is not “fine as it is” if you need to use a trick to be able to do what you want xD

The bigger issue, as I see it, is that this method is a workaround for something that should be native to the game programming.
Similar to how syncing queue times was a workaround for squads getting ludicrous waiting times.
The fact that it requires a corp member to leave the corp just to host a squad, and then join again afterwards might not be considered a lot of work, but it is extra effort that seems unnecessary.

You do something that is breaking the rules as stated by devs. That’s the definition of cheating. Even if it’s not to gain an unfair advantage…

Such rule isn’t an “official rule”, it’s only a mm “tuning”. Sometimes for us squadding up against each other it’s the difference between playing star conflict or simply go to another game.
It’s in game code? It’s official rule. You can’t distord it to fit your opinion…
I’ll just add I don’t stand for or against this MM thing… I just find its behaviour weird.
If you call it official rule then game is official designed to be doomed.
Only an idiot would set a rule blockin teamplay in teamplay based game :012j:

It’s not an official rule that corpsmate can’t face each others, otherwise tell me why 99% the time i’m captain in combat recon against an owl squad.
The fact that it’s “in the code” doesn’t mean that it’s a rule, at all. There are a million things that “the code” allow which are against rules.
It’s just an insane mm tuning to prevent same corps members face each other, but it’s non sense since if we don’t squad up the mm will put us in the same match against each others.
This discussion is about squad versus squad, so I don’t see why you point a single vs squad fact. I often launch with the “countdown / no squad” method, and we are almost everytime evenly dispatched on both teams.
And btw, the code is the rule of a video game. If it allows something that is not wanted by the devs, it’s a bug, or there is a huge problem.

Because that’s the whole point of this mm thing. Prevent corpsmates facing each others.

yes but the problem is when nobody has the balls to vs us. We’re freaking screwed. I sent out a challenge in the main chat, nobody wanted to fight us. I messaged friends asking them to get squads going but to no avail. If nobody has the balls to vs us, then at least let us vs each other.
You shouldn’t have to leave ur corp to be able to do this. It should just be allowed. Whats the point of squads from the same corp not being able to verse?
