I think most here will agree with me when i say how tedious and annoying it is to invite someone u dont have in your list of friends and the whole deal with searching that + in general chat.
My suggestion is, make it possible for the players that are in a wing/squad to invite their friends and the leader of the wing/squad needs to approve said invite thus making it all a lot faster and easier.
Great idea. As a wing leader, I can personally say that it’s extremely annoying trying to coordinate friends of friends to X up in chat (or in the case of our RU squads, PMing me since they don’t talk in English chat). This would reduce the tedious nature of forming wings to do stuff together.
Perhaps when a wingmate wants to invite someone, a popup shows for the wing leader saying “Player X would like to invite Player Y to your wing. Do you accept?” and then a simple Yes/No dialogue option.

Also please allow pming players you “havent met” (even if you have talked with them many many times before…but arent on your friend/follow list), this would also speed things a lot instead of first adding a player to follow list and then inviting him to squad/wing (then remove him from follow list cause it gets full quick).
