The spectre field would be a bit abusable. A captain lrf should be able to go off the radar completely when using its you know what.
So on, so forth. Use this to balance being a captain for these classes, especially for being a Tackler. Being a captain in a tackler that’s unable to cloak is just troublesome and actually weakens the ship.
This is a high priority item.

i don’t want a ship with enhanced abilities, captains produce much more damage, and the ability to hit anywhere because it can be made invisible. I think it would not be fair.
There are plenty of counters. They’re still vulnerable to being too close to an enemy, spy drones, micro locators, damage, etc.
I’m not asking for an over powered buff. I’m asking for existing abilities to be able to be used as they’re supposed to be able to.
The entire point of a cloak is for the tackler to have a chance against other types.
Then it would be considered to remove the benefits from been captain. It get invisibility with no increase in damage.
Whole mode revolves around captain being visible 100% of the time.
There is no such thing as “I want to fly that ship/build/role, because I want”

you suggestion would make it possible for enemy caps to hide in a corner, run away and hide when attacked, run away and hide when enemy is close, abuse the 75 percent damage by sneak attacking when invisible.
This is not the kind of game play you want to encourage.
Tackler and lrf are a bad idea. Even if you could go invisible it s too weak to survive for long. Let s not make it more tempting to take the wrong ship roll.
Every player should have at least 3 ships in his line up. There is no good reason to take only one ship. If you do take 1 ship, get picked as cap you just deal with it. If you disconnect because you thougt it was a good idea to take only one ship and you get picked as cap, you should be ashamed. It s quite lame.

Also, as Erador said, the tackler simply has to have cruise engines and fly around the map’s edges for them to never die.

if an enemy team captain is running around and not attacking anything, than their team is at a disadvantage. There is more than one way to win, after-all.
No. If you are the captain, you have to be visible 100% of the time, or it would be too easy surviving. You already deal 50% more damage.
