I’ve suggested this before. It’s been ignored by the devs. It gets ridiculed by players (haters gonna hate)…
But the warehouse needs to be expandable beyond 1100.
I actually find myself NOT logging on because I dont want to spend 15 minutes configuring my ships. I DONT want to have to remove all my modules from every ship so I can use them on other ships. I’d rather just buy duplicate modules for speed so I can pick my ships and get right into the action.
I have over 100 ships now. 1,100 inventory goes FAST.
I’m tired of managing my inventory. I want to pay you for more space. Please take my money.
They can fix this by making it so that equipped modules dont take up warehouse space.
but a warehouse size increase would be just as good.
with one of these changes, people will start buying an equipment loadout for every ship, spending gold on upgrades and such. if this happens,we’ll see who is the first to full-purple every ship.
they are shooting themselves in the foot every time they release a patch without fixing this.
We had the loadout system. For example, lets say that you have one hangar setup full purple of gunship, guard, engie and ECM. But sometimes you take out the hangar with Tackler, LRF, CovOps and Engie. But you have only 1 singularity cannon for example.
You equipe the hangar the way you want, and SAVE it as, lets say, hangar 1.
Then you save another configuration named hangar 2. When you activate hangar 2, if any part required is already being used by other ship, it removes automatically from that ship and equip automatically on the ones listed in the config hangar 2.
That way, you dont have to gather 2 sing cannon for example.
even with a loadout system there is barely enough room to hold a good set of modules for every tier. You have to clean out your warehouse every 50 battles which is a chore.
perhaps when harvesting mk2 kit loot, there could be an option to sell it then and there so we dont have to clean it out of the warehouse later.
still, it makes absolutely no sense for equipped modules to take up space. changing this, I feel, would be the simplest solution to the problem.
While I would find a loadout system cool, I do not think the proposition should be played against the storage system.
It needs both, an increase in capacity, and some improved loadout design.
The argument “You should not keep all your ships equipped” seems a bit out of the blue. Why not? It’s way better to say: you are not supposed to collect items beyond the point of being rational. Which is why the limit should be somewhere around the number, which allows every ship to be equipped there is in the game + a bit of spare space, and that should be the maximum achievable storage space. It’s most likely just an intermediate table anyway, it’s not like such information is going to blow up the db.
Expanding your storage costs credits anyway, so you can still “live low”, save yourself money. DLC storage bonuses could stack above 1100. And why not sell the hamster who has all ships equipped and every slot possible filled storage space extra, which is beyond rational, just to make more intelligent GS sinks?
Heh, i see this and think: why do you all have problems, im at t4 and only use 150 slots, although admittedly i sold everything in t1-2
It goes fast. I had around 500 in my warehouse when I was still T3 and always sold some stuff every week. Than the last 2 weekend sales and grinding ships getting in T4 and whatnot I’m up to 900 items and I already sold some duplicate active modules and stuff of the same ship role and tier.
I do keep items for every role in every tier. Why would I sell a purple T1 gun which doesn’t give my anything helpful besides freeing up storage space? I worked too hard to get items and I use them occasionally so why sell them?
There just need to be a better warehouse management and a bigger warehouse. You don’t want to sell all items you get with a new ship especially the passive module because you can use more than one of them on the same ship. And sometimes you just want to try something different so why sell it and then grind the credits again to buy it again?
I am still at 750, more than a 1/3 to go. And it is not like i have a single ship, i do sell off garbage T3-T4 quite often and kinda hoarding T5 modules for now just in case.
For me the biggest warehouse filler are upgrade kits because they take room in addition to the modules themselves and because of the grind you cannot just use them.

At the Upgrade kits it would be good to see if you already have a complete item with the same Mk or higher. With a Mk2 Repair Kit upgrade it would tell you, okay you already have the Repair Kit in Mk2. Right now it tells you only if you have the Mk1/base version or not.
The only micromanagement I do anymore is check kits for upgrades. Because of patches, you never know what will be rebalanced next month so I don’t want to clean house. If I switch my lineup I might have a third of the modules I was using go unused. I try to keep only one set of active modules per class, but for the passives I’m hesitant to sell, especially at higher tiers. Those modules aren’t cheap.
I have 64 more spaces before I have to spend the time to clean house. I know I have “inferior” modules I should sell since I won’t use them, but the interface makes it tedious and slow. The one thing we don’t want to add to the grind list is the warehouse grind.
Not that i’m against the idea, but i don’t get the whole warehouse problem thing. I have 142 ships and only about 900 warehouse items (including the useless t4 items which i’m keeping just in case)
I sold my t1 & t2 stuff. And frankly, if you have over 100 ships i think you’ve progressed enough to not go back to those tiers
Just clean up your warehouse often, use the upgrade kits that are just lying around and sell those extra modules that you’ll never need
If anything, i’d like a better warehouse UI with ability to select multiple items, do batch actions and stuff like that

People have different ways to play. Good games support multiple philosophies (especially for the meta-game part), bad games force players to single mindedness.
Again it doesnt matter that some players think 1100 slots is enough. Some of us think it isnt enough, and we are ready to pay for it. That is how a F2P game works, right?
Case and point: I would log on RIGHT NOW and play, but I know the ships I want to use arent equipped (since I’ve had to trim all the excess). I do not feel like spending 15 minutes configuring my ships the way I want them configured *again*.
I like that I can configure my ships, do not read into it that I’m unhappy with customization. I love that I can customize my ships. But having to strip them down *after* using them so I can equip the modules elsewhere is a big enough aggravation at this point to keep me from logging in.
Are you going to use 20 t4 nanodrone clouds? unlikely. That’s what i meant
You should do the math if you joke about someone having “20” of same modules in same tier. The limit is much, much worse.
Assuming you want to have 4 of everything, just in case you’re planning to fly full setup of 4 same class ships, and this in each tier, it is simply not possible.
