A few things I want to go over. First, and most importantly, a number of skills have no visual effect that I notice, which is an obvious problem. Pulsar thing, for Frigates that damage enemies around you over time, had no noticeable effect or it was so minor I couldn’t see it.
Next, are things I want to encourage the dev team to look at. Audio is another big element to this, but basically making attacks have a little more visual power to them. Not all of them, but some.
Rail Guns, for starts, have this little “ptt ptt ptt” sound, which sounds silly and weak. I know they aren’t weak, but can’t we get some audio power behind this?
Another thing is rate of fire. This is just me, but I would like to see more rapid fire attacks (with adjusted reduced damage) just so I can see more stuff flying around. Plasma things… whatever they are called… why not have them alternate the firing between the guns? So they fire 4x faster but no increased DPS? Makes for a feast for the eyes. Missiles as well. 1? Why not fire two at a time, but double the amount you can carry and half their damage? Maybe you make unguided ones like this. Heck, maybe there’s 4x the amount with 1/4 the damage.
Anyway, the point here is the eye candy, because a few things just… feel weak from time to time.
