The graphic effect of the black hole isn’t as detailed as I thought… It should curve light all around the edges.
I like a lot the soundtrack,it reminds me of the movie Interstellar xD
Anyway, next time can you fall into it please?
I have noticed that black hole warps the light from some objects, like in my 2d passing it warps the the way that big station looks, but all the objects from a background unaffected.
Maybe in the future the’ll work on it)))
Victory day it is, need some appropriate setting
Looks fun!! A few questions for you:
What are the controls like? Like flying a destroyer in Star Conflict as it seems from the vid?
It seems like the map features are rarely used, as for cover, getting into position sneakily etc. Is this just your fighting style or is it true?
How would you rate the teamplay aspect? I read there is squadding up, but can you have all 5 team-members in one squad?
Any idea if it will be free to play eventually? I found no mention outside of paying for access to the closed beta
I’ve been watching this game for some time now and I want to see if it’s worth getting into ”)
Yeah - controls are like SC destroyers - AWSD movement, mouse is Aim and they are working in parallel
It really comes down to a situation/map, some times you use it more, some times you use it less - I am pretty Ace there - don’t remember maps by heart yet, I had like 10-15 games there in total so far, but there are uses to landscape for sure
games are 5v5, so squads are up to 5 people, there is match making - dunno how it works though, but so far I did not face rofl stomp promenades as solo (I am not saying the match making is good though ”) have seen some funny things already ”). I think I read somewhere that 4 and 5 man squads need a squad as opponent, no idea about 3s, 2s are most likely allowed vs randoms, there are no indications that you are facing a squad in the interface, or I haven’t seen those yet.
Games are fixed to 5v5, it is the same game mode, only 3-4 maps are available and in general ships aren’t very fast - I think all of those aspects eliminate alot of variables that are present in SC and solo players learning those basic of team play faster and easier than in SC, simply because there is less to learn as a team as of now, but again I am only R9 atm (currently there are 50 ranks in the game)
Game is very GPU demanding - my old gtx660 was not able tto run the game smoothly at bare minimums.
Game is nice looking, there are ways to make it fast (as you can see in the video) and it is not as slow as people make it to be, well visually it is slow, but there are some things to micro-manage in betweens due to the movement-aim system and dmg/shield/thruster energy management. It has some nice things that i would love to have in SC, but SC has way more content and obviously has way more years in development - so it is not fair for both games to compare them 1 to 1.
I don’t see it as a Star Conflict replacement, but it is a nice game to play alternative in parallel (if you can run max settings and rank up past r15)
P.S. mil I got 2 spare closed beta invites (for testing purposes :), pm me your email i’ll get you one (that is of-course your PC can handle the Dreads)
Thanks for your answers! I’ll need to look at the requirements and then I’ll get back to you for the beta key. That would be amazing!
Yeah I saw that kinda mini microwarpdrive you were using, looked very fun! ”) And yes it does seem to be faced-paced. Although I’m fine with a slower-paced game as long as it has depth, which this one seems to have.
Yes, about the energy thing, I remember that being in the trailer a while back! It reminded me of the SC trailer with “all power to the front shields”. I wish there was more of this in SC, where you could manipulate your build mid-battle via adding more energy to certain functions. Cap management in SC is rather bland right now except at the ship-building stage, and mostly comes down to module timing and avoiding ECMs.
I have one last question, which once again turns to the social side: do they plan on having corps? Some kind of gameplay similar to sector conquest? Or will it be arcade only? That’s probably something I should ask on the forum later, but if you have heard anything about it. Either way, just being able to play in a squad sounds really fun.
Yes I should stop comparing it to SC now, as you say XD I need to keep a fresh eye on the game, since it is new and still has a long way to go!
Yeah i have no idea about what is planned.
I know progression is due to rewamp, thats about it.
Another map, that is “less flat”
At 5:36 that was so satisfying seeing that LRF die from that doomsday.
A man can spend an eternity watchig 3 things
burning fire
bouncing b0obs (technically these count as 2 though)
LRFs dying to doomsdays
))
Couldn’t help but notice that MaX is no longer CEO of DNO. Y’all should pick him up again, I think he’d like to rejoin.
edit
damn looks like i gotta re-upload everything
