It is an eyecandy, its responsive and fluid, lots of content is expected. Ide play EVERSPACE even in alfa over Star Conflicts open space any time, but it is singleplayer so it should not be compared to PvP aspects of SC at all.

tnx for the info
Currently that 40 min video show cases most of what is awailable ingame. There are couple more customization options, but gameplay isnt very deep or varied yet, like there are only 3-4 models for enemies, there arent many different location bioms too. But it is quite solid for Alpha, i guess since RockFish wanted to go NDA free and DRM free, they have put some extra effort for the client befor they released it into the wild.
Looks pretty awesome, is it at all like freespace:
What I mean is bringing in capital ships vs capital ships massive space battles and the like, or does it focus on space dog fighting ?
PS: Are you doing Star Citizen ?
Also Freespace 2 - Still my favorite game ever.
At this moment it is nore of a FTL and Rogue league child in 3d, definately not like Freelancer or X series.
The older you get the less time for gaming you get
so Star Citizen is something I am not planning on playing.
I think that No Mans Sky and EVERSPACE should fill the space craving just right ))
Katovskiy, have you ever played Elite Dangerous? I love it for the enormous amount of things to explore. The thing I like the most is the fact that it has an almost real-size milk way, where there are all the known space objects. But I didn’t bought it, because I think it can get boring pretty fast, even with the recently added explorable planets.
Unfortunately, my computer doesn’t allow me to play Star Citizen, but if I upgrade it I’ll give it a shot.
I find Elite very boring as exploration game, I dont want exploration sim where 99.9999% of gameplay is “nothing”, that is why i am looking forward to No Mans Sky ))

Well, I don’t think that No Man’s Sky will be much more fun, because exploring is basically the only thing you can do, and although all the star systems are procedurally generated, I think you’ll soon find the same assets repeated over and over, and imo it was overhyped. But if it turns out that it’s actually good, I’m gonna buy it.
Damn nice!! Shame it’s not multiplayer, or I would definitely play that!
After playing Star Conflict, I dunno why but I just can’t play single player games anymore
Even RTS games like sup com FA I only play pvp now. I don’t enjoy the Total War games that I used to love anymore, which is a shame. That is the reason No Man’s Sky is a no-go for me.

Instead, even if I love competitive multiplayer, I also love strategy games. I prefer the turn-based ones. For example, I recently finished XCOM 2. A real masterpiece, in my opinion.
I’m digging the gatling gun sounds.

What i meant is that Elite’s and No Mans Sky take on exploration is totally different, Elite is trying to be a sim, and most of the time it is just empty space, that looks cool for an hour or two and then it is whole lots of exactly the same nothing. On a contrary NMS is trying to be like those Sc-Fi book from 60s, as huge as NMS is (territory wise) they trying to cramp exploration in smaller spaces for you to discover, they are trying to make whole universe full of staff everywhere, plus rarely get on hype train no matter what the game is, I know that NMS devs is a team of 10-12 people, that is small even for indie teams, so I tone my expectations down as well, but I am a huge fan of their art and style, and totally looking forward to that feeling where you stay on the planet, look up and see multiple moons on a horizon, and then get into space ship and fly there.

Welcome to the club
I have been like that since I got into competitive volleyball back in colledge, but lately I do play some exceptional Single Player games with great stories here and there.

currently they have that 0.2 sec winding up cycle before start firing, so annoying

Well, then we have different tastes. I prefer a lot more the “realistic” style of Elite and Star Citizen, but that’s fine.

…god I am trying to imagine you playing volleyball and I just can’t even.
Also, that windup is kinda realistic and I like it, although it would be nice if gatlings in this game are already spooled all the time or if you had an option to spool it yourself
