Unorthodox builds that work?

Did you even see the power of the snowball machine gun has? cm and positron are xxxx comapred to that thing lol

Right now, nothing beats the snowball machinegun, it feel so OP using it in my Alligator, lol, I can’t begin to imagine what it would be with the Sigurdr and the 6 cannons.

I just have to say I love the angles and the cropping on these shots. These ships look delicious.

Why should I fly the reaper when I can have something with the same survavibility and 6 cannons?

This is what I’ve been saying for some time as well… Empire longuards ftw :stuck_out_tongue:

You can’t help but laugh maniacally whenever you’re shooting an endless hail of Mortar rounds on your enemy and watching them scatter because of it. Doing it with the snowball cannon is just hilarity because everything dies before they can react.

They’re good, but they die and lose like everyone else.

Anyway, back to topic.  Anyone have recommendations for a Mauler fit?  It’s designed for an unorthodox fit, but what works best?

Inertial thrusters for strafe speed, a regen module so you’re AB-stable, heatsinks for max RoF, tank (no Adaptive Shields as you won’t be doing much at max speed), Horizon and crit modules. Coil Mortar with crit mod (the extra spread is negligible and actually welcomed in such a weapon). EM Torpedoes for missiles (just don’t blow them too close to you, remember you have zero tank on this ship). For actives… tank. Idk, I still haven’t tested much, but there’s really not much point in having LRF mods on an LRF Gunship…

True, but considering they’re temporary weapons, they’ll disappear and CM will likely take over. I already stopped using that cannon because it was, quite literally, unfair to anyone approaching my Sigurdr. Guards literally melted away in a few overheat cycles, let alone other ships.

I had a poor man’s version of this setup when I had to grind my Acid Hydra and Cerberus just to access the Styx (ah… the not-so-good old days).

I like to call them ER-Guards or Duck-Guns    :taunt:

At what point does EB trip on that ship?  I once watched a Styx get hit, and it activated it’s EB, and then kept tanking.  Depending on the build, it could be up to 5000 hull points when EB’s activated.  That’s not a huge number, but EB’s only one second.

In a sniper build is more used to have the last shot in sniper duels. That sigurd has almost the same fit than my cerberus. It is a nice sniper ship, which can switch to armored gunship in no time. Fun fun fun.

This.

And to troll PPL for a second longer.
