My hopes of getting this idea across are low, but I still think it’s a good one.
I was thinking that the game could be a bit more exciting if the kill prompts (that pop out whenever a ship gets destroyed) go into detail or get descriptive about a ship’s destruction.
I. In PvP, the description would vary according to weapon/offensive module:
i.e.
-Player1 caught Player2 in a Plasma Web.
-Player2 filled Player1 full of holes. (if Assault Railgun was used)
-Player1 flew into Player2’s mine.
-Player1 sapped Player2 of all power (if energy drain rockets were used)
-Player1 has blown Player2 completely into atoms (if Disintegrator was used)
-Player2 reached out and torched Player1 (if Guided Torpedo was used)
-Player1 sliced Player 2 into neat chunks (if Ion Emitter/Beam Cannon was used)
-Player2 turned Player1 inside out (if Singularity Cannon was used)
-Player2 tazed Player1 and left him adrift. (if Ion-warhead missiles were used)
-Player1 caused Player2 to crash and burn (if a player crashes into an object shortly after receiving enemy fire)
-Player2 glanced off Player1’s hull (if ship-to-ship collision kill).
II. In PvE, the description would vary according to the nature of the AI opponent.
i.e.
-capnnic got tracked down by a Hunter.
-capnnic received his sentence from the Punisher.
-capnnic was taken away by the Family Guard.
-capnnic flew over a missile turret’s airspace.
-capnnic’s ship was pillaged by a Pirate.
Good? Bad? What do you think?
