The idea is simple: Three unique ships, an interceptor, a fighter and a frigate (and later a 4th, a destroyer, if more roles will be introduced for them too) that could be equipped with any modules and weapons their own class is offering. Similarly to the current Secret projects these three ships could be built from ship parts too. Any special modules from any roles within the same class could be used on these ships. So, lets say: an interceptor could use the recon micro warp special module and it could also be equipped with the ECM’s Energy absorber, with the cov ops’ Plasma arc and the recon’s Holoship for active modules. Main weapons could also be interchangeable. I know this could result in some seriously OP builds but there could be a catch, a down side to compensate the OPness with.
So? Who wants a ship like this? Don’t forget to vote.
Oh, I did not know it was already a thing before. It was probably before I joined. Anyway, the idea came after I watched Crossout videos and Gamescom promos. (This game has something that SC don’t and it may pass and leave SC behind. ) So, I just thought that ships that could be built by “any” parts could bring something similar into SC. Of course there is balance and stuff. But I did say there needs to be a serious down side of building mixed role ships. I could not come up with a good solution for this yet. It is not easy I admit. Maybe each module and weapon that is not matching with the chosen special module’s role could operate with only 50% efficiency. That way pure role builds would stay the best in their job but not the only that could do the same things. Or no implants or bonuses for these ships. Something serious down side. I did not have experience with mixed role ships but I would like to see some messy designs serving as a “mule” among the ships by doing “everything”.
Maybe It could be used in any rank as well. A ‘rankless’ ship. The highest rank module used on it would determine its level.
While I agree that Secret Projects should have weapons of its own, having modules reserved only for Secret Projects, at least for now, is probably not a good idea.
Would love to see the statistics on how many people actually own those and how much for each class or role.

Well, these ships could get special abilities but the main goal is not this. They would use the already existing modules and weapons and that’s all. They could be available early as well. I like the “rankless” idea more and more. This way everyone could build a special project that could be used from r1-r15 and only module ranks would change. Using a special ship throughout the whole game in any game mode and level would be nice to have. These may get some unique design that would let us customize even the ships’ shape not only their paint.
The new patch brought only special modules,no weapons, active and passive modules,I suppose the devs are really absorbed in the Crystal plating “research”.
A rankless, classless ship seems quite cool (and these are determined when you choose a special module).
But all players would fly this ship and only this one. So it’s bad for diversity.
Actually, i only thought of rankless and roleless. There would still be 3 classes. But you are right. That would be the real ultimate secret project.
I don’t think everyone would fly only these if they had negative traits compared to regular ships.
Also, this could give a chance to anyone at any level to participate in any event and game mode by buying higher rank modules for them. The normal rank progress requirements would still be there but there would be a chance to hop in r11+ spec ops, or higher rank seccon, or any events for higher rank players without having ships for those ranks. Of course they would have to build it first.
