I find that in my T2 games, I often get T3 greens that I can’t use yet. Can we make it so that during a T2 game, I only get T2 mods? Also, I find that I rarely get useful mods at all. I’ve only gotten one purple ever, and that was in T1.
Once you hit tier 3/4 stuff gets really expensive, and you will be glad you have those modules at the ready, but I see your point if you are going to be sticking to tier 2.
I agree that they should be tier specific (although T3/4 scenarios always drop T4 loot, which makes it hard to get hold of T3 stuff).
Purple’s are SUPPOSED to be rare, I’d estimate the drop chance as being below 1%.
As for usefulness, some modules are far more common than others, I could start a multi-national company selling bloody shield boosters and propulsion inhibitors, can’t find guns to save my life…
The rareness of purples would make sense if there were a way to sell/trade them on a marketplace. But barring that, it seems reasonable to up the percentage a little, considering there’s a decent chance that you’ll get a purple that is totally useless to your builds.
I got 2 purple warpgates. Mind you there is no difference between a warpgate Mk1 and Mk3.
However, I find it nice that I can get T4 loot in T3, because its freaking expensive and MK2 cost around a gazillion credits, so yyay…
