The tourney we just finished was a hoot. Opponents got progressively better as it went on. I enjoyed it.

Rage is happy to attend again.

This is always a fun and we all stay improving by this kind of training.

Congratz to all player, I have seen very talented player and good teamwork.

[steel] got crushed by NASA , congratulations to NASA, but we are malleable.

Don’t sell yourself short, man. Your team performed much better in the second round. I actually got worried for a minute that we might lose a game when your guys started swarming our beacons. We had to adjust what we were doing in accordance to your actions, so they were effective. At least you gave us a run for our money when we got sloppy. I’m sure you’ll be much more competitive in the next one.

I wonder if the upcoming tournament will be affected by the next patch? Some interceptor pilots are complaining about feeling underpowered. This isn’t the thread for that discussion, but I anticipate that everyone will need to make some adjustments before the next tourney.

Thanks Phobias for setting this tournament up goodjob.

[steel] and R4ge good games it was a blast!

Set it up and NASA will be there, see you guys then.

Is there any recording of the last tournament?

Is there any recording of the last tournament?

I don’t think so Shadow this is something we can work on for the next time.

I don’t think so Shadow this is something we can work on for the next time.

Our team was going to record it, but… stuff happened…

well if anyone did record it please share the vids, and a request to phobias to send me the steel battle snibs data please, ty

We have some requests from our team,

1. Maps should be the same every match, we all have 500 + games and we have played on different maps , so 6 games on the same map is not going to give any team an unfair advantage

2. Maps for the tournament be released prior to the tournament

3. 5 minute break between matches to reflect on mistakes/ change ships if needed / equipment

I dont think these are unfair requests,

we didnt like the map switching in the last tournament,

No man, my team is good , i messed it up in the first match completely , was my fault entirely, had no awareness of beacons placement, direction, distances. the team was really good and patient with my loss of command. In the finals we did much better, I think NASA’s strategy focused on their strengths which were our exact weaknesses, and they deserved to win. We know that we will put up a much better fight when our ships are elite and geared with higher mk modules.

I had strictly ordered my team to avoid getting into dogfights with NASA before we even started the tournament, and like a xxxx I got into dogfights my self in the first couple of matches, we tried the beacon rush because it was clearly our best strategy building upon our strengths and giving a fighting chance , being out classed by the NASA dog fighting skills and geared up ships.

I was really proud of my team in the second finals match , when NASA rushed us I thought we would not be able to get even a single beacon, however we had 2 down before NASA could take 2 of ours, it was expensive we lost alot of ships, however in the finals we didnt loose due to being completely wiped out , we lost to beacons being capped and I saw that as a huge improvement, in comparison to our first ever encounter with a superior kitted , much more experienced, and clearly better skilled pilots.

Im sure well give you a better fight next time around.

I want to give a special thanks to our pilots:

Nightmare8182, EGZONM, Nt0uki, knapicrllr, oldfilin,**  **

who were brave enough to come and play with no tournament styled experience, dont be disappointed with the loss, learn from your mistakes you guys are gonna be great.

I think these are reasonable. So we can implement these on this tournament. So first let me say I think the best match was on Ancient Ruins, so if everyone is in agreement we will make that the map for this coming tournament. This way everyone can practice different tactics on the map. So Team Captains let me know if this map is good with y’all. If so I will change the OP to reflect the map.

I am cool with ancient ruins, agreed

Grats to the winners. Would’ve loved to play, but it is 10AM for me so I am either at work or taking break of it at this time.

you work on a saturday?

  1. No. Maps should be the same for the involved teams, but not the same throughout the entire tournament. This breaks the monotony and gives BOTH sides something new to think of. Ie, team 1 & 2, 3 & 4 play on the same map. Teams 2 & 3 win, their match should be done on a different map… And so forth… So, as to avoid boredom from everyone, maps SHOULD be swapped around every now & then.

  1. No. If people have played on almost every map before, they’ll know how to fly in them and, along with the guidance of their squad leader, are able to fly just fine in them.

  1. This I can agree with. But not for ship swapping. The way you enter the Room is what defines which ships you bring out. One by one, from both teams. That gives you enough time to think about which setups to bring.

My team will re-attempt to be there.

I can only assume you mean November 9th, bear in mind not everyone uses USA date format!

Right now we can’t make any promises, it depends on how things play out. We’d have loved to be there last time, we had recording/streaming set up and ready and an incredibly strong team but real life hit us quite hard.

Worst case if my team cannot make it, I will try to be there to spectate and stream the matches as I did during the official tournament. Again, I cannot make any promises until a little closer to the event.

you work on a saturday?

usually exhausted from the previous 5 days and sleep until 1-2PM.

But anyway, there are more than enough specialists in T3 in NASA, so I wish them good luck !
