Make sure user_config.xml is writable. Check permissions / read-only attribute (on windows)

so do you crank up your graphics settings every time you get out of battle to watch your ships shine?
Only to take screenshots I’m gonna post. I normally have customized graphics settings that still let me see my ships shine, but with minimal shadows and medium textures, and no antialiasing. Anti-aliasing is really what kills my FPS. With high shaders, med graphics, low shadows, and no anti-aliasing, i can still get 40-50 FPS playing a game. But if I add anti-aliasing, my FPS tanks to 20 ish

40-50? I’m not happy unless I’m getting a stable 144.
