As some players already noticed, tai’kin upgrade system is the worst thing that ever happened in upgrade history, why do such a simple interceptor required so much farming, restrictions, time and effort?
Since the release if r14 destroyers a new type of event see the day: time limited event. The most unlikable type of event. Even after we tell dev’s to not introduced those type of event it seem like they didn’t listen.
The tai’kin is a interceptor! It should not required more resources than a fighter! If they would have done this with a frigate or a destroyer i’ll say “yea ok why not it’s a big powerful ship” but cmon a ceptor?!
Does this mean evertime we’ll see a new ship i’ll get worst ? This ship is already almost impossible to get in the free way or without being forced to used trading! Trading window is spammed like crazy cause ppl are desperate to get more gs to be just able to continue playing! Where is the fun in that?!

The ship class has nothing to do with the amount of resources needed.
Thar Ga is an exception because it was the first. And they made a mistake.
But I’m pretty sure that the engi will have the same grind. It may even have most of the resources used for node upgrade in common with tai kin (at the exception of Tai Kin nanoprojector instruction obviously).
For now, I don’t feel like it is so bad.
Xenocrystal is easy to acquire and it would be too easy to grind.
The only problem is that the resources are limited to 10.
Getting resources for Taikin required for leveling it forces players to use other ships (max possible rank requirement) - why we must play other ships to be able to play and level TaiKin?
Even if you get crate, its random, so if you need one resource its very possible you will not get it, but another not needed.
There is too much resources requirement - xenocrystals is enough (but I think even this its too much - to unlcok blue print you must pay additional xenocrystals is good example).
I guess there will always be new ways, sneaky concepts to make people spend money ingame.

Exactly true. Only people I know who got it for free got it via endless grinding all day (no idea how thy have the patience for this game any more) or by being one of the lucky few to actually make use of the trading system ////but only within a corporation////.

The devs’ only purpose in this game now is only to suck more money out of people in every way possible. It’s miserable and very saddening.
Gotta say, it’s a pain, it just gets higher and higher as we go. My cheapskate stomach cant handle that lol
And remember that soon we’ll only get randoms parts from iridium containers only …
Don’t care, I have mine r15 and I have more then enough GS to get at least 2 other ellydium ships.

Imo it would have made way more sense to say that you need to have an R5 ship+ (unmaxed of course) cus currently the elly ships start on R5 what makes the “highest (max syn) ship requirement” thing dumb anyways…
I mean why should i (i´m forced to) fly my R15 ship cus it´s the highest rank i have cus i was “3 years ago dumb enough” to rush for R15 for the implants? Basicly it´s an totaly slap for 24/7 since i returned… and basicly lost all fun already again cus every contract always wanna have this “xxxx” max rank requirement… So for the future elly ships let the mission count from the “lowest” rank these elly ships start (in most cases it should be R5 while for the dessy it would be R8) AND without of any useless combination like “have shipclass x + y in your slot” or “achive medal from category z”…
Simply make them “participate”, “earn” or “do dmg (no certain type)” ones cus the missions alone sometimes take already 1 hour+ just to complete them and if you have not 24/7 time it´s even more of a pain to do any mission at all.
