It’s not that bad, right? Kris AE has a rotation bonus that helps (even though I prefer the Kris’ bonuses). AE’s slot layout is also better IMO as compared to the normal Kris.

Don’t be that cruel. Sharpnels take a lot to master, and most people in low tiers think they are crap.

 

I still remember myself thinking that positron cannons were the worst frigate weapon…

I wouldn’t say that if he was a new player. He’s been around here for some time, longer than yourself actually I think, and you know better. I actually think that pulse lasers are harder to use/master. But Shrapnel on Kris AE is easy mode, it’s the best ship for it.

I dare anyone to say shrapnels are crap to face me with another weapon. Come on, let me one shot kill you within 500 meters and get a rocket to the face, coupled with a plasma web, and watch me laugh as you blow up.

Well that confirms that on average you have around an equal amount of win’s and losses. Is that across all Tiers? It would be interesting to see how it looks per Tiers/Ranks.

Yeah it is based on total player base across all tiers, i don’t think i can get tier based statistic for now, ill ask though. 

Regarding shrapnel, fly it without Jericho R2 implant and electronic guidance.  Every one of Takamina’s builds had the same CPU passives.  Yes, shrapnel can deal a lot of damage in one shot with sufficient spread reduction or point blank range.  But in pure result DPS other weapons can be more effective.  The biggest difference is the ability to get a kill shot in the middle of a triple team due to the flawed “kill” mechanic in the game. Weapons with similar DPS but lower damage per shot and higher rate of fire are less likely to get a kill shot.    It’s a weapon that practically requires you to use the Jericho R2 implant even if you have low spread weapons on your other ships, and then still needs electronic guidance.

Nope because its power relies on the individual skill of the player, that weapon is useless in the wrong hands.

What we need is to buff the weak wepons not nerf the strong ones, for example Plasma. It has high range and accuracy but at what cost? Bad damage and bad fire rate. That weapon was awesome on fighters a long time ago and it was made exclussive for interceptors… losing a lot of dps.

I would either increase the fire rate 20-25% or the damage… no one but ECMs use that weapon, and ECMs with Sharpnel/Pulse just do better.

Come on, stop throwing ‘nerf’ everywhere (not you jr, but in general, i just see ‘nerfing’ as the first solution out of most people’s minds). That starts sounding just like Uhmari (‘oh make all weapons deal near 0 damage for more tactics that pugs cannot even fathom of!’)…

Like Resi says tweaks can be done by buffing something else or changing their mechanics.

The devs favor nerfs over bufs, so it leads to habit.  They’re poisoning me.

They favour nerfs because that’s what WE ask for and that’s what THEY see on the logs.

Plasma with speed ammo performs well on ECM, coz u can use that ship like a support fighter, kinda tackler, staying away nerfing amd assisting…but if u r engaged u r not in trouble coz u r pilotng an int after all :wink: But they need a buff for sure!

They really have to do something about this BS matchmaking system pitting me with 4 randoms with less then 1000 SR. I have to carry the entire match! What a drag.
