Thanks for sharing, looks like each group had one clear superior corp in it, I guess future matches will be pretty interesting.

Indeed, very surprised how Gods of random managed such an even distribution, especially since i was witnessing the seed process, if not for that i probably wouldn’t believe it

That’s better than the tournaments that are over in round 1.
And hooray for competitive detonation, even if it ends is blatant spawn camping for points. I always wanted to see a competitive detonation match. Now I fully understand why it shouldn’t be in the game.

well we did not get to see “competitive” detonation, unfortunately ESBs did not do corp training on detonation, since there were no reason, so i guess we will not see that

Why not? Detonation games are like team battles, but with another tactical element (Bombs) It is much better than just kill the other team.
Although I agree that Capture the beacons is the best competitive mode.

Team battles would be the worst, since it actually encourages spawn camping. I’m not certain CTB is the best competitive mode, but it might be the best of what’s available.

if it is competitive, it means, there are even (as in experience or skill) teams. detonation is really awesome with even teams.
Any mode is a clusterboom with uneven teams.
so I think your full understanding is just a quick subjective decision.

nice games folks. well that outcome was almost predictable, except two corps on the second places, my tip looked exactly like this; all other tips were pretty similar.

They randomized only the RU pool since there were 24 teams in it.

What i meant is ESB vs ESB on detonation, but they did not do any practice matches for Group stage, and in play offs there will be no detonation.
Nomination “Best Skill” in the Championship - 30 000 GS (highest number of kills from a single person during the whole championship).
Nomination “Best Assistant” in the championship - 30 000 GS (highest number of assists from a single person during the whole championship).
This rule should be modified from “Whole Championship” to “Final Stage” due to some groups having no shows in the preliminaries. It allowed some two extra games worth of kills in the qualify rounds. So I suggest the qualify rounds don’t count to this reward and the tally begins in the next stage. In other words… everyone is at zero until the next stage.
Knock-out stage:
First fights will be on Saturday at 14:00MSK. Maps for the fighting teams will be announced tomorrow.
