The classes that don't have a special weapon.

There are some classes that lack their special weapon,and I’m talking about the damage dealers of each type of ships,those are the Covert Ops,Long Range Frigates and Gunships,also the LRFs don’t have their own special missile.

Now I know what you might think,if these classes deal so much damage why do they need special weapons?Well,arent you tired of the Coil Mortar spamming LRFs or the RF Blaster Cov Ops *cough*Nyx*cough* and lets not forget about the Gausships,all of those are pretty much boring to play sometimes,why do the Recons have a guided Shotgun,the Command a EM torpedo launcher,lets not forget about the Kinetic supercharger of the ECM(AKA mini-mortar) and the Gravi-Beamer from tacklers,aswell of the Eclipse launcher and Destructor,they are quite fun to play with and you can easily stand out of the crowd as they have their special attributes and purposes,but the classes that are supposed to dish out the enemy team lack in that thing,i dont really have any good ideas about a weapon for those classes but im sure one can come up with,also a missile for the LRF can be interesting.I’ll look forward to your ideas…

I don’t mean to step on your thread, but your premise seems to be that classes are “supposed to be” something that they are not - which means they are “supposed to be” your desire and not the preference and design of the developers over the course of more than three years. It seems to me that “supposed to be” is more in the realm of the developers as they design the game.

 

That said, personally I have no problem with the weapons allotment at this time. Looking at weapons alone as a class’ sole ability to deal destruction is near-sighted. Even if a class has no “special weapon”, they have other special abilities and attributes that allow them to be deadly in their own, unique way. Everything summed up is a class’ true ability - not just its gun.

 

Now, things can always be made better in some way. But for my preference, this is not something that I would change.

 

However, others will surely differ in opinion. I would recommend a poll along the lines of:

A - Every class should have its own unique weapons and missiles.

B - Every class should have its own unique weapons.

C - No class should have its own unique weapons and missiles.

D - No class should have its own unique weapons.

E - Weapons for classes are fine and I wouldn’t change a thing.

Anyways, the new class weapons usually come out around fall/winter, but because of the recent additions of the new special weapons, who knows when they will add new ones. Though in the latest DevBlog, they said that the frigates will be getting a new weapon, so this probably means that others will be getting some too. (Eventually.)

Patience is key with these devs.
