Target allies with 'Eclipse' Launcher (detailled)

About three days ago I posted a suggestion about targeting allies with the ‘Eclipse’ Launcher. As millanbel said, here are some details:

 

  • Soften a bit the sound and eliminate the shaking effect when you are getting hit directly. (only friendly hits)

  • Maybe lower the projectile speed or lower the healing effect to compensate the higher accuracy.

  • Make a blue warning when a friendly eclipse is locked on you.

  • Limit the allied lock only to eclipse users.

 

I think that locking on allies with the eclipse would make the engineer role more unique and I really hope that it will be implemented in the game.

+1 not too sure about the lock on though… as I have attack drones on my engi…  as they attack what you have locked on too… ( unless they have independently gone off to attack the nearest attacking\opposing ship)

If you do add lock, please make it so that locking on increases overheating.

Maybe it could be an option that people could turn on/off (I can understand some people not wanting to use it due to the confusion it might cause).

Sorry for slightly off topic, but if we ever have LRF secret project ships it might be cool to have a ‘re-integrator’ (healing sniper/torp weapon) as a special module option.

 

This along with Zargran’s friendly locks could make for some interesting tactical options.

I’d vote for shielding drones. The same ones you have orbiting your Engi when your shield is below 50% but on targeted allies.
