Talk Radio Station (fan made audio broadcast in game)

Guys I’d like to ask you if you would like this?

I am a bit puzzled with the background noise in the hangars, its boring because it is a repeating pattern of a basic sound file.

I would love to have the opportunity to get informations via ear, aka via sense of hearing, acoustically!!

That would spare me to reed lots of stuff. I would be able to do, lets say, daily Open Space mission and get nice talks, lore, information, news etc.

I would tune in my in-game radio app. to station ‘star conflict’ and get music (by suggestions from players), game-news talk and interviews. Maybe as a podcast thats repeated 6:00, 12:00, 18:00, 24:00. Or maybe as live audio content and maybe live-talk. Maybe a in-game window as combined video/radio app. would be nice - click and its in the background, but sound persists.

What you think?

Would be great to have more acoustic content in the game. Especially fan-made stuff… Devs, you could promote this with promo accounts or in the way translators get rewarded… Just an idea ![:007_2:](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/007_2.png “:007_2:”)

P.S.:

The official SC lore as audio (text to voice) attached:

A radio in hangar with announcements, news, missions availables and general info from the game seems useful from player point of view. I like it. The next thing could be a pub to hang around… However it will cause problems for those players listening their own music.

A full radio station in the game i think it could be too cumbersome for those tasked with creating content continuosly. If you want mostly music then there are external service for that. And different tastes in music makes it hard to have only ONE radio station.

In short: radio in hangar nice, full radio station problematic.

Clever idea but the new SC channel we have in discord can do all of this and more…

Yeah, discord, that’s the “pub” to hang around I was talking about. ![:006:](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/006.png “:006:”)

Songs would be difficult for in game, as they would need permissions, etc. Unless they use their own or some free ones. Voice would be great though.

Standard voice chat would need to be select few people or simply go external, as you know what happens with open chat
