Could we possible see about putting in an addition to the Invasion mode to allow us to earn synergy from killing the NPC’s? Reason I suggest this is due to the long waits for PvE and PvP matches when its easier to undock and go pick some loot up, missions, and kill a few pirates, cybers, and cartels. As we kill some NPC badies, why not include some synergy gain? Like 20-50 points of ship synergy?
I don’t know if this is possible but it will aid in helping some frustrated players in gaining levels on their ships.
You say you want synergy on Invasion because queue times on PvE and PvP are long, but what would happen if people could earn synergy on Invasion? Lots of them would play even less PvP…
I agree with residente: do not empty PVP even more.
But if this were ever to be put in place, it would have to be only available in station protection off like Efefefay says, to encourage PVP in Invasion…

Well, as the game economics are now, all the different resources are given a spot:
-PVP: mainly synergy and Vouchers, avg credits.
-PVE: mainly credits and loot (daily purple), avg vouchers and synergy.
-Invasion: mainly materials, avg credits, no vouchers and few synergy.
This is made so everyone have to play all modes and there are not underused modes. I think it is a great idea, and we are reaching the player base big enough to support all of them.
So, basically for someone who wants to play only PvP or PvE or Invasion the other mods are shoved into their throats ?
I want to play only PvP - I have to grind credits and loot in PvE and I have to go Invasion for materials. Not everything can be gotten from salvage.

I think it’s a terrible idea. Invasion is dull, and if it didn’t have exclusive loot I would never play it. Even with exclusive loot I rarely bother. All Invasion did was make me give up on the crafting system and push me further away from the endgame.
There is no need for synergy from killing NPCs in invasion, as it would drag more people away from the already dwindling PvP base. Killing other players in Invasion should definitely give synergy, but still not as much as PvP does.

Then don’t play it. Nobody forces you. But a lot of people enjoy it, so it won’t be changed.
Also, you don’t need invasion stuff for endgame.
In fact the game can be played with PvP only, you don’t need PvE or Invasion. PvP is the game mode where you get more rewards.
Except that T6 requires months of grinding in Invasion, and Mk V gear requires invasion, and blueprints require invasion…
If all of that were available in pvp you’d have a point. But it’s not.
What is T6? If you are talking about special projects, they are T5 rank 15. And in fact they are not that good. Gimmicky, but other than that… you don’t need them for top end content. They are more a cosmetic ship than anything. Anyway, you don’t need to play invasion, just make the daily mission (5 mins max in a recon or cruise tackler)

That synergy may not look like much, but it’s easy to get. I’m “eliting” all my ships and those missions give me good chunk of synergy without having to play lots of PVP matches with my less performing ships.
Found that the “kill x amount of aliens” missions reload every time aliens spawn so I can just sit in a low-level sector and farm artifacts, credits, and synergy at the same time! X3
I think synergy should be awarded for killing NPCs: a small amount, in order to keep PVP as the most profitable mode of earning synergy. Lots of times i cant level my T4 or 5 ships because there are no PVP games, and PVE is way too routine and tedious, not to mention also that you depend on your team (so if the others players suck, you are screwed). Queues suck, so, an instant launch is just amazing.
I think invasion could be atractive and give an even more interesting gameplay than PVP (while playing against other players); fights with several players in different scenarios (means you dont go only after a beacon or cover behind a rock with all your team in team battle, and instead take advantage of the entire map, bigger maps than PVP), allowing the oportunity to change them while in fight (travel from one map to another adds richness to battles, possibility to add or withdrawn from combats and not depend on a stable equal number of players in only 2 teams), free for all fights (or several teams), contact with NPC ships or turrets, etc. How to encourage that? get players an incentive to go to invasion to farm (like synergy gain from NPC), making more extreme the reward/risk from dangerous zones to allow players to PVP (kill a farming player, generate war in wich other players can join).
However, in order to this to work, respawn should be modified, like allowing to the player to respawn in the same map without the need of a duplicator (wich is too expensive for fighting PVP) and get some syngery from killing another player (like in PVP mode, but in a reduced amount). Also, as incentive a general alert about an event (such as kill a certain amount of players, capture some beacons or what ever) could help generating this PVP environment.
Its important to say that for all of that (and PVP and PVE modes) you need players wich lack in Star Conflict. Creating more interesting gameplay modes and dynamics can help this low server population and increase it. I`ve heard a lot that this game looks very static, the fact of PVP inside “rooms” is little promising and doesnt allow you to fight the time you want or where you want (you have very little freedom in that aspect). You can gather some ideas from the game “Ace Online” (also named as Air Rivals), a pretty old one, but with interesting dynamics that could be included in SC in some way. I also think bigger ships would make the game more fun to play (like cruisers or battleships), but thats another story and i really doubt Gaiijin wants to take that course change for the game…but i got to say: attacking a dreadnought with interceptors, fighters and frigates seems stupid (its like destroying a skycrapper with infantry using submachine guns).
