Surplus synergy into free synergy: a multitude of options.

It’s one thing a lot of veteran players have an excess of, but no use for: surplus synergy on ships with maxed out synergy. Instead of paying real money to buy GC to transfer it, here are other solutions.

1: Convert surplus synergy into free synergy based on the total amount of surplus synergy a player has, once per day, automatically.

Ideally, this would be a percentage, to be fair to all players. For example, if the amount was 10%, this would convert 10% of a player’s 500k surplus synergy into free synergy, leaving them with 450k surplus synergy and 50k free synergy. The next day, they’d end up with 45k more free synergy, (For a total of 95k), and 405k surplus synergy, and so on.

2: Convert surplus synergy into free synergy based on the total amount of time a player has spent in-game, once per day, automatically.

The longer you play, the more of your surplus synergy is turned into free synergy, able to be used on any ship. For example, 1 hour spent in-game could translate to a fixed amount of 10k surplus synergy converted into free synergy. As another example, say this was actually implemented, and a player had 100 hours of in-game time. On the first day, 1m of their surplus synergy would be converted into free synergy - 10k for every 1 hour. After this, once they spend 501 hours in-game, during the next calculation, only that new amount of time, the 1 new hour, would be counted.

3: Convert surplus synergy into free synergy based on the total amount of time a player has spent in battle, once per day, automatically.

The time spent in battle stat is already tracked separately from the time spent in game one. This would help deter idling in the hangar for free synergy while encouraging them to play more often. For example, 1 hour spent in battles could translate to a fixed amount of 10k surplus synergy converted into free synergy. As another example, say this was actually implemented, and a player had 100 hours of time spent in battles. On the first day, 1m of their surplus synergy would be converted into free synergy - 10k for every 1 hour. After this, once they spend 501 hours in battles, during the next calculation, only that new amount of time, the 1 new hour, would be counted.

4: Convert surplus synergy into free synergy based on players’ results at the end of every battle.

This would encourage players not only to play more often, but put in more of an effort to help their team.

Have some more ideas? Let me know below and I’ll be sure to add 'em!

I like the first and fourth options the most. The first option I like because it would benefit the veterans greatly, and also would be proportionally fair for newer players like myself. The fourth option I like because it promotes all players to earn higher scores, although the downside for this option is that some supports like ECM would generally get lower scores than others (assuming they’re doing their job right).

You know that game is a money sink and it will never happen right ?

I opt for 1GS per 1000, instead of 15. That way a million synergy will cost 1000GS. Still steep, but considerable and not 6667 GS that is more than T3 Premium ship and a half.

Nevertheless I like the first option.

Yeah. :frowning: Still, it’s nice to dream, and this is what the suggestion forums are for.

I agree. I would be VERY likely to covert synergy if the exchange range was 1:1000 rather than 1:150…

There are plenty of ships that require near 1 million synergy to level up and paying $30 to level up is just silly.

Also here to agree. Dev’s you say you are listening but you have literally done nothing to address this nagging issue, so from a certain perspective, you are NOT listening. The 1:150 Ratio is outright disgusting. Like Burodsx said, $30 USD to transfer Synergy is very silly. 1:1000 is much better and would encourage people to actually purchase GS . If you hadn’t noticed Dev’s, but getting 1mil Synergy does not take that long, and that’s $5 dollars in your pocket versus $0. This I could get on board with. There should be methods like Debarchery has mentioned that will allow you to free up that saved Synergy. Shoot, I’ve even offered suggestions of my own. Please please please address this. Stop ignoring the problem…
