Right now in invasion entering danger zone can and often is sucide, you die before you can even react, matter is made worse when you and any friends dont exactly spawn at same time and they often group at other side.
You have no time to plan, and prepare to defend yourself.
Its basically Spawn camping at its worst.

As a remedy why not make a protection bubble around the gates, this way you can spawn into a zone safely review situation, and wait for you friend and team to come.
When you leave the bubble you lose the protection.
And you can’t just re-enter in order to regain protection (perhaps a out of combat AND time requirement for the bubble to protect you again, allowing a afk zone for when nature calls)

not everyone flies a interceptor, if you in frig you prob cant even turn to face the gate in that time, and in a spawn camp, with couple people even the toughest well built frig will die in seconds.
Furthermore the only people who actually enjoy spawn camping are the ones doing it, it make people not want to waste there time in open world becausse it just competion of who can spawn camp better

the point is, they is no COMPETATIVE PvP in open world, only who can spawn camp and exploit better, its strip fun when they not a competative chance unless you got a army of buddies.
And protected Zone dont have the loot/blueprints for the workshop
At least with protection bubble you can gather a group of people to start a competative and fair battle without the spawn disadvantage.
Sneak ambushes and preying on vunrable will still be possible even with gate protection, just people will have to be a bit smarter about it.
Either add invulnerability or invisibility for 10-15 seconds, if you don’t act (move, activate module etc). That way everyone will have the chance to observe and plan their actions, also it will add some tactics to the whole gank/antigank game.
Me as a privateer would be absolutely unable cuz everyone would hide at gates, 10 seconds invulnerability is absolutely enough to check or react, if you can’t you’re very slow…
If you don’t want to be in danger while farming, just don’t enter PvP sectors, or take a recon / tackler.
If you want good loot, then avoid killers, you have to fly deep into the map to get the stuff, so gateprotection would don’t help you.
If you can’t handle being killed in Danger Zones, simply don’t go there. The devs introduced a number of protected zones in the last series of updates. There are more zones with Station Protection than ever before.
I also recommend to do as Eviscerador suggested. These hints can really help. And the invulnerability time is more than enough - of course you lose it when you start to move and use modules to soon.
Invurabilty time if far from enough you cannot in any way get a frig to the gate AND use it in 10 seconds, you don’t actually spawn at the gate you spawn near it.
And yes danger zone are dangerous and should stay dangerous, but entering should be safe… whats the point in traveling a zone if you explode the moment you arrive with no way to fight back.
No game has ever found spawn camping acceptable so why should it be acceptable here, all its going to do is create army of corps sitting at all the gates, so second you spawn your dead.
Once your IN the zone and exploring, thats where the privateers should be lurking, people with good radar can see them coming and react accordingly in a FAIR playing field.
ofc, is seems like most people are incapable of playing a fair game, which begs to question those people’s real skill… (not directed at anyone in particular)
end of the day the the camping/grief is only going to lead to one thing, people will stop playing open world and it will just die out
No, you are just requesting that all invasion will be safe spot for PvE in a slow, pve fitted frigate.

No, i request GATE be safe, in order to loot danger zone you still have to leave safetly of the gate to get the loot, hence exposing yourself to the dangers of the zone.
if you wasnt there to search for loot and get a good fight then you wouldnt be there in the first place
xKostyan, sometimes sending a scout ahead won’t always work. Teammates might spawn in a different instance of the same sector. Also when you send a scout and they come back the entire team might spawn in a different instance that the scout scouted out. *cough cough*

It’s almost like you’re afraid that if you don’t get an unfair advantage you can’t PvP in Invasion mode.

I play eve online and they have a good system that works there for this matter. Upon entering a new grid (System) you stay cloaked for 60 seconds. Moving or using weapons/modules breaks this effect.
Not everyone has a gaming rig, that loads sectors in 1 second. 10 Seconds is really too short. As i have noticed, that time starts to tick even before you’ve fully loaded and can see the situation.
I wouldn’t put a safe bubble around gates. Better would be to activate instant invulnerability as soon as a pilot activates a gate. (not this crap with what, 3 seconds till you can activate)
How this game is set up at the moment, it’s litterally super easy to camp at gates and kill everything.
