Star Conflict v.1.1.0 Discussion

Also, for the topic I feel like sector conquest will be impossible for most corporations too even keep a sector, because you’ll get the OP corps that just ruin it all.

If I have understood the patch notes, moving the Dread from one sector to another will cost iridium. Invading will be costly, and you can only have one sector, because you can only have one dreadnought.

In fact, it is possible that zerg corps will be able to get better dreads than the “OP corps” which are mostly small or medium size. Or the same dread but faster.

So no, OP corps won’t be dominating the new SQ.

Yay…?

Just for clarification: If I am a member of a small Corp, which is unlikely to ever build a Dread, I do not have access to SecCon anymore (not that I’ll miss it that much)? Also, there is no way to get the Iridium returned I already invested in that small corp?

Read the patch notes. You can be hired by an officer from a big corp and fight on his/her side.

Well if they are op let them be it just shows that they are incredible pilots and i dont think  that their size will make a difference for them tho.

But still  i think only 3 T5 sectors are not enough, you have to give the players who reached endgame some reasons to play endgame or else it it possible that they will loose interest in the game.

You can fight with T5 ships over T3 sectors. The sector level is the “minimum” not the maximum level you can play with.

.

You refer to:

Pilots not in corporations can be hired by corporate officers to participate in battles

You can only hire pilots to defend locations

In this case you can hire pilots of other corporations

There are no other recruitment limitations

Yeah, sure, and how likely is it that THAT will ever happen? Well, we’ll see. So far I fail somewhat to see what’s in it for me, and how this will improve player retention… I guess I wish that all this effort would have been put into content accessible to more players, with a more tangible effect on low/mid tier retention.

It…it…it finally happened…I could have sworn that the world was going to end before they added dreadnoughts…

Now to abandon all ties to real world, and not leave my chair or computer!

it seems to me, that once you got a sector, you can hire other people for the defense. this would mean, corps without a dread can still help out other corps hold their sectors (and play games)

inofficially thats much like an alliance.

but I suppose they don’t offer compensation (get stuff for helping), so it’s less official.

thanks to this game is for one player already make uninstall. thus spoil the game for lone players you played a major povedlo.sem coolie worlds in the universe :014j:  :003j:

Nice improvement to invasion. Bigger map, more “open world” (the more open world the better imo), those awesome Dreads. However I have to make a little observation about them. If we can not change once the choice is made , then we must be sure of that choice . Give us more information ( such as durability, speed, weapons etc. ), it would be great . Maybe the empire dread it is the most powerful and durable but the jericho one is almost durable as the empire but has slightly more handling . Obviously these are assumptions, only to make the idea.

P.S: This is more my curiosity : Can the dread be driven as a normal ship in the battlefield or you just leave it behind and fly on normal ships? And can you choose who will pilot the "beast " or is exclusive of the C.E.O.? Because if so g4borg, you’re damn lucky. Maybe it’s too early to know, but I wanted to ask anyway.

P.P.S: Probably the best update so far.

You know, it’d probably be wise to wait until we actually know something about these dreadnoughts (like how much it costs to take them into battle, how much to repair them, what their raw stats are, and if they are just fancy static objects in space) before declaring this the “best patch ever”.

Right now this “Arms Race” seems like a convenient event designed to completely drain all that surplus iridium corps have been hoarding so they can rebalance the drop rate. They have already stated that spending iridium to speed up the construction process has diminishing returns. So the more you spend, the less effect it will have. In other words: encouraging you to waste a rare resource. They have also mentioned that dreads will come in T3, 4, and 5 variants of some sort, but we only have access to T3 right now. So yes, waste your iridium on a T3 dread.

My point is, don’t let the hype blind you.

You can fight with T5 ships over T3 sectors. The sector level is the “minimum” not the maximum level you can play with.

I don’t think that is how it will be

From my understanding, attacking a T3 sector with t5 dreadnought will scale-down the Dreadnought to T3 parameters, and T3 Dread can not carry pilots with T5 ships, T3 will be used.

Seems the new contracts that grant iridium don’t work for me. They apparently work for other people though.

Don’t those new ones give the iridium straight to the corp, not the pilot?

As an aside, I am a little disappointed that there was no new SP ships with this big patch. That would have been the icing on the cake.

MMMMMMMMAELSTROM!!!

If this new Sector Control will work just how I imagine, I will stuck in this game forever.

And the best thing in this patch is: NO GREEN SH*T! Finally, I can see everything in normal color and see my scanner anytime!

So overall it’s a great patch.

(Am I the only one who is getting annoyed about the launch button? Now I click on it everytime I want to go open-space and I get into PvP queue instead… I need to get used to this new system.)

This is correct.

This is also correct.

mmmmmmmm…dreadnoughts…mmmmm…WOOOOOHOOOOOOO!

well I guess the CDF will have to bring its dreadnoughts, I saw that again in plural DREADNOUGHTS

I don’t think that is how it will be

From my understanding, attacking a T3 sector with t5 dreadnought will scale-down the Dreadnought to T3 parameters, and T3 Dread can not carry pilots with T5 ships, T3 will be used.

I don’t know, but here are the patch notes about this:

Each location also has a technological level, T3 to T5.

Only dreadnoughts and ships matching the location’s tier or higher can participate in battle for this location

Dreadnought level can be automatically lowered to location level

Only T3 locations are available at Season 2 start

So maybe you need to fix the patch notes.

And in case it is this way… well, tier 5 content will be void then…

Yay…?

Just for clarification: If I am a member of a small Corp, which is unlikely to ever build a Dread, I do not have access to SecCon anymore (not that I’ll miss it that much)? Also, there is no way to get the Iridium returned I already invested in that small corp?

Does this mean smaller Corps are now dead? Larger Corps will place entry conditions on amount of Iridium owned?

Will this have a positive or detrimental effect on T4/5 population? Does it make more or less sense now to fly Invasion?

Yes we will likely need to switch. I’m ok with that seeing as FFA is MIA anyway…

I too do not see how a smaller corp. can start out now.

I would guess we will have to see out T4+ population pans out. It isn’t like there are many people in it now.

I am not receiving my extra loot attempt from DLC. I wonder if the other DLC bonuses are also not working?

If anything is not working, please create a bug report.
